Pranava : Coming back into Fashion ~ 2020 Archery Blog
http://2020archery.blogspot.com/2013/03/pranava-coming-back-into-fashion_20.html
Wednesday, 20 March 2013. Pranava : Coming back into Fashion. As I travel around London, buses and tube stations alike are adorned with huge posters of the much awaited younger Lara Croft holding a fully drawn bow with the tagline 'a survivor is born'. As I look at all these images I think to myself, is it just because I picked up archery recently or is it really all around us nowadays! So, to conclude, although archery is an ancient skill it is also definitely the newest fashionable sport in town! Ive b...

Dan - Traditional Bows : a Beginner’s Guide to Wooden Longbows ~ 2020 Archery Blog
http://2020archery.blogspot.com/2013/04/dan-davies-traditional-bows-beginners.html
Monday, 22 April 2013. Dan - Traditional Bows : a Beginner’s Guide to Wooden Longbows. I got my first traditional bow last year and I was happily hooked soon thereafter. Even if I am wielding something that is more usually found in the gloomier regions of the Amazon Rainforest in an indoor hall near London Bridge it’s still rather a lot of fun! Other bellywoods include Ipe, Yew, Osage Orange and Putu Jumau. Each of these is excellent under compression making them ideal for the belly of a bow, if in d...

http://2020archery.blogspot.com/2013/05/robin-of-locksley.html

The story’s revival has done particularly well in the last ten years thanks to the most recent BBC series, which followed Robin and his Merry Men for 3 years. Your age probably. Determines which version of Robin you find the most recognisable – the glossy mulleted Michael Praed is sadly the one for me. Kevin Costner (also with a mullet, albeit shorter, and, err, more bleached) runs a close second. The music of Robin Hood. The Sheriff of Nottingham. You are all ...

Mark : From Novice to Competitor. ~ 2020 Archery Blog
http://2020archery.blogspot.com/2013/02/mark-from-novice-to-competitor.html
Monday, 18 February 2013. Mark : From Novice to Competitor. Alternate title - I am a contender! I decided early in my second year of shooting that I wanted to shoot competitively. A few weeks ago I shot at my first tournament and caught the bug; a week later I was shooting at my second tournament and the third, fourth and fifth have been booked. 19 February 2013 at 09:46. Its good to know that people started with a have-a-go session and stuck with it! 11 March 2013 at 13:19. Subscribe to our RSS Feed.
