The kids were at a Gang Show rehearsal camp all weekend so Rua and I took this opportunity to have a weekend escape together and we booked a mini-getaway to the Catlins. Just Bung It In. Sunday, July 5, 2015. Opening night for the 2015 Gang Show is this Tuesday! The kids have attended rehearsals every Sunday afternoon for months. They've been to two rehearsal camps. They've had extra rehearsals after school at the theatre for the last couple of weeks. Today they have a 10-hour rehearsal at the theatre. And opening night is on Tuesday! Throw in a few flash mobs and these are tired kids. The Tardis arrived in the Octagon about 6pm on Friday night. The flash mob in action.

Just Bung It In. Sunday, May 10, 2015. Mothers and daughters and outdoor movies. Mother's Day is a wonderful excuse for something a little decadent. Just Bung It In. Friday, September 26, 2014. Being a mother and a student and an employee (and a renovator). I have a busy husband - around 50 hours a week at work, on committees and playing a big role in organising a street party in the warehouse precinct next month. I also have busy children that must be fed, clothed and organised. Then there is me: I'm the main child-carer and organise the majority of the housework (although what constitutes as essential housework is a pretty small list in this house!

Saturday, 26 January 2013. Birthday, flying solo. For the second year in a row I had to have my birthday without my family. Last year I was away at a work conference. This year Jackie and Theo were NZ. It's pretty sad being on your own on your birthday but I had a pretty good day. I decided to have a day in the city, a nice coffee and brunch, walk around and then go to a movie. Instead, I'm a sucker for Bond films. I had a big hot chocolate and really enjoyed the film. In Tooting and read some more paper.

Monday, 7 April 2014. I'm drinking my coffee nicely. A couple of weeks ago Jackie went to London to become a British citizen. Theo and I held the fort here in Hamilton New Zealand. In the mornings Theo went to preschool while I went to work. In the afternoons we had fun. Something we did quite a bit of was visiting cafes. Theo enjoyed this and was very good at drinking his coffee nicely. Some other stuff we did included. Saying goodbye to mum at the airport. Doing the vacuuming, dishes and cooking dinner.
