Sunday, April 11, 2010. I am sick of hearing "oh, tourists are a curse, oh tourists spoil the tango in Buenos Aires". For a start, not all tourists are the same. I have been in Buenos Aires for some time now and I have been hit in dancefloor by Argentines more than I hit someone else. So don't come around telling that tourists are a curse. A good milonga, definitely yes. Would it survive without tourists (definitely yes). Would it be the same, no, it would lose quite a lot. Abrazo - video blog.

The adjective exquisite is probably not an approriate one to describe the tavern - it aint that upmarket! Club Eros is completely a contrast from what one might imagine it to be based on the name. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Performing Gender - Tango in the milongas of BsAs. Apparently I am not the only one who felt that way. Adriana Pegorer published a virtual presentation entitled 'Performing Gender: Tango in the Milongas of Buenos Aires' where there is a first attempt to point out the sexist character of tango behaviour.
