Kym of the King: Everything's vivid
http://kymoftheking.blogspot.com/2009/05/everythings-vivid.html
Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Saturday, May 9, 2009. With my nose firmly in Alain de Botton's new book, The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work, I have been refreshe. D in my view of the world. Yesterday I had to go into the city for an appointment after several days of being home ill. It seemed to me that everyone was from central casting: immensely colourful in their own way, yet typical. I guess I was paying attention. Http:/ www.888dag.com/. Kym of the King.

Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Sunday, September 5, 2010. Vincent van Flying Fox. My model for this drawing was the flying fox at the front counter of the Australian Museum in College Street in Sydney. He only has one ear. Hence his name -Vincent van Flying Fox, given by me. He is drawn in charcoal and chalk on architectural film. He's about 1.5m x 1m. Http:/ www.888dag.com/. Vincent van flying fox. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow me on Twitter.

Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Sunday, September 19, 2010. Three plays. in three days. In a live performance frenzy, I've been to three plays in three days. Firstly: Quack at Griffin Theatre. For lovers of gore, you need travel no more. Secondly: Jersey Boys. Kym of the King: Sharpness and blurriness
http://kymoftheking.blogspot.com/2010/09/sharpness-and-blurriness.html
Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Saturday, September 4, 2010. Arriving in one's home town when it's raining is the perfect way to see it. A couple of weeks ago, as Australia headed to the ballot box, I flew into Melbourne. In the rain. I texted a friend in London: "It's raining. Love a wet home town." And he texted back: "Not sure if I understand that - but lots of UK towns are wet.". I texted back: "It's that mistiness rain brings - a bit like memory.".

Kym of the King: Directions
http://kymoftheking.blogspot.com/2009/05/directions.html
Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Walking down Victoria Street in Darlinghurst just now, a very old man ambled toward me. I was anticipating being asked for money. But no. He wanted to know where "Young Street" was. Indeed. In truth - as far as I am aware - there is no Young Street. Neither metaphorically, nor literally.). I'll leave that with you. Http:/ www.888dag.com/. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. 258 NE...

Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. If you use 'em, credit 'em! I love MasterChef - and I love all the judges. Especially George. no, Gary. no, Matt! A judge who we love is called Matt. And Matt - well, he loves his cravat. He’s top notch on the nosh. And he looks awfully posh. With no Matt it would all be quite flat. A judge we know only as George. Would chew and - quite simply - he'd gorge*. 8216;Twas his action with forks. I sup...

Kym of the King: Tim Minchin rocks the casbah
http://kymoftheking.blogspot.com/2009/12/tim-minchin-rocks-casbah.html
Kym of the King. If Shakespeare was alive today, I can't imagine what he'd say. Sunday, December 6, 2009. Tim Minchin rocks the casbah. Wowie and ooh la la. I saw Tim Minchin last night at the State Theatre. I simply adore him (if one can adore someone without knowing them) and had never seen him live. He is an amazing lyricist and such an original performer: erudite, witty, naughty and alluring to boot! If Tim Minchin did a project with Alain de Botton, that would be my idea of perfection. Quite often i...
