The Lighter Side of Running: October 2008
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Friday, October 31, 2008. Again, Shannon was kind enough to give me a 4:30 am wake up call today. Fortunately I was lucky and she went right back to bed. So I got to sneak out for 6.5 today. I tortured myself on Lago. Rant: high beams in residential. If you find yourself driving down your residential roads in the pre. Then you get to make Kahlua. Walking around, wouldn't you? Now get back to work. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. 1 woke up early to do 6, but I was greeted by Shan...

The Lighter Side of Running: February 2009
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Now get back to work. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. So now that I've seen 4:30am runs in the cold rain are very difficult to wake up and do when there is no goal attached to them, I guess I have to find a good goal that comes sooner rather than later. Does anyone know of an enticing half marathon, or similar distance, to do in or around June? Fat guy signing out. Now get back to work. Sunday, February 1, 2009. Getting back into the swing of things.

The Lighter Side of Running: Phoenix "seasons" and an iPod rant
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2009/03/phoenix-seasons-and-ipod-rant.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Monday, March 2, 2009. Phoenix "seasons" and an iPod rant. We have three "seasons" for runners in Phoenix:. Season 1 - Long Sleeve / Layer season - November through February. Season 2 - Short sleeve and comfortable season (technically this is two seasons, but it's my blog and I'll do what I want) - March and April, and then the end of September through October. Season 3 - Asbestos suit, nuclear reactor hot - End of May through beginning of September. Running is supposed to ha...

The Lighter Side of Running: Blog abandonment
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2009/01/blog-abandonment.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Now that the RnR training is done, what do I do with this blog? I've grown attached to it, but I'm not planning on gearing up for another marathon until the end of this year or beginning of the next year. More than one marathon per year doesn't seem fair to my family. What to do? Now get back to work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. I qualified for Boston. A not-so-great moment in sports medicine history.

The Lighter Side of Running: November 2008
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Blog Blitz - 4 runs. Sacramento needs to make a lot of noise about their beautiful bike trails. They are perfect for running.oh, and biking too. Actually, the bikers and the runners seemed to coexist nicely in Sac, which is not a common occurrence. Kudos to Sacramento! Seeing all those people on the trails got me pumped and I think that that was what made the run move so well at the end. 6 on the trails. 16,17, 18? Back on the AZ Canal. I used Hamme...

The Lighter Side of Running: I qualified for Boston...
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-qualified-for-boston.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Friday, January 30, 2009. I qualified for Boston. If I was 70 years. Or older. Now I know why that 69 year old man was cursing so hard after we crossed the finish line together. This apology goes out to you, whoever you were: I'd have let you past me if I'd have only known you were cruising for Boston qualifying time, but I'm sure you can understand why I didn't want you in the finish line photo with me. Two blog entries in one day? Get back to work.again. A great 7.crap!

The Lighter Side of Running: Getting back into the swing of things
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2009/02/getting-back-into-swing-of-things.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Sunday, February 1, 2009. Getting back into the swing of things. 3 around the high school. I did a slow three today. Yep, the ankle still sucks. I wore a brace to alleviate some of the stress on the leg, but I'm beginning to think that this is gonna take a while to heal. I'm going to keep stretching it, icing it, and using the bengay stuff. I think I might try the elliptical jogger next time around to see if that helps. Now get back to work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Lighter Side of Running: August 2008
http://26milesorbust.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
The Lighter Side of Running. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Good run, bad communication. Temp: 73 and cloudy. Very nice. First, I'm thinking that my communication skills need some help. Brice and I didn't connect for the run today and I'm 99% certain that it was from me communicating poorly. Brice will soon learn something that my wife has known for years, I'm an idiot. Anyway, the run went well. Matt was great company and I'm hoping that I can hook him up with Brice next time around. Speaking of next ...In ca...
