Chatty Cathy's Blog: She said "milk"
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2013/09/she-said-milk.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. I know this seems silly but to us it was just another sign of just how far Katie has come in the last year. She is really very smart and is adjusting well. Sure she has her two year old irrational moments but as her language has progressed those moments are not as often. For a long time Katie was sweet but reserved and sometimes angry. She had this little wall around herself to protect herself or so it seemed. She would only get so close and only show so much affection. Over ...

http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2012. We got a 15 month update on Sweet Katie. She is just too cute! It looks like she is walking and might just possibly be a thumb sucker. She weighs just under 21lbs and is almost 31 inches tall. Tuesday, May 8, 2012. 3 wonderful magical years later. Then: My scared, confused and very tiny little girl. A few days after we got home, the smiles started to shine through. And today: She is my sassy, feisty, smart and silly girl:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Chatty Cathy's Blog: It's official!
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2013/04/its-official.html
Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Today we were able to finalize Katie's adoption. Her Nana and Papa came along for the celebration. We were in and out of court in less than 10 minutes. The judge was very soft spoken and sweet. He gave both of the girls a stuffed animal and we were on our way. It was so fast. Our hearing was at 9 and we were done at 9. Our social worker missed the hearing it was so fast. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Brewers Home Opener 2008. March 22, 2011- -beg...

Chatty Cathy's Blog: October 2012
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 8, 2012. Another week has flown by and things are going well. As anticipated we face new challenges and hit new highlights. So there you have it in all its glory. I am loving everyday of this new adventure and feel very blessed. At the same time I am exhausted most days and so very grateful that both of my girls are wonderful sleepers. This whole thing would be so much harder if I was sleep deprived too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Brewers Home Opener 2008. March...

Chatty Cathy's Blog: August 2012
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. So we finally had Katie in our arms. Now what? We hit Lotte Mart of course. She was doing well and loves the Ergo so we grabbed a cab and hit this Korean version of a Super Walmart. It was kind of insane but we needed to stock up on things like formula, her favorite crackers, a toothbrush, a cup with a straw, etc. I tried to make her a bottle in the morning and again no go. I even tried to put milk in it for her and she didn't want it. I put the milk back in the cup and ...We we...

Friday, March 29, 2013. Thursday, March 28, 2013. Hard to believe it is almost April and I haven't blogged since Christmas. Well I am hoping that I can get back in to this if there is anyone still out there reading. So what is going on? Now that our family is complete we are going on vacation in June. We are taking our girls to Disneyworld. To say I have a super excited 4 year old is an understatement. We are going to be busy and can't wait for some nice weather so we can go outside and play. Chatty Cathy's Blog: EmBracing our summer?
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2013/04/embracing-our-summer.html
Tuesday, April 16, 2013. One month from today Kiya will be cast free and sporting a new TLSO brace. I am excited and terrified. She is confused. Last night she asked me why she wasn't getting a new cast. Her direct quote "but mommy I always wear a cast.". Cast 3 brought us down to 62 and cast 4 brought us up to 66 degrees out of cast. Then we finally got some long awaited good news between cast 5 and 6 she had gotten and held 20 degrees of correction. Hallelujah. It was finally working. W...I couldn't fa...

Thursday, April 19, 2012. Cast day has come and gone again. I am not sure I have fully processed the day. You would think, having done this 6 other times, that I would be fully prepared for whatever cast days throws at us. Man oh man was I wrong. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Wordless Wednesday.Katie edition. Friday, April 13, 2012. See ya cast #6. Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Here is what we learned about our sweet now one year old:. She has 7 teeth. Chatty Cathy's Blog: December 2012
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 24, 2012. We are wishing all of you a Merry Christmas. 2012 has been a really busy year for us as evidenced by the lack of blogging. I sit here today on Christmas Eve while my kids indulge in an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and think about just how far this family has come in the last year or 4 months even. Kiya asked me today if Santa visited Katie in Korea last year. I was honest and said I don't know. She then asked, did Katie get Christmas presents? Kiya loves having a sister an...

Chatty Cathy's Blog: Love vs. in love?
http://chattycj.blogspot.com/2013/04/love-vs-in-love.html
Friday, April 26, 2013. Love vs. in love? Love I am blessed to have a lot of love in my life. I am going on 14 years of marriage and I have these amazing little girls that light up my life. But here is the thing, I didn't fall in love with any of those wonderful people listed above overnight. It took time. Did I love them from the start, well yes but was I in love with them, no. Katie was this sweet little person with a big stubborn streak and a language barrier. The hardest part was food for sure and we...
