Teign Birds: East vs West
http://teignbirds.blogspot.com/2015/07/east-vs-west.html
Wednesday, 15 July 2015. A brute of a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull. That was on the Salty yesterday evening and again this morning is the best the east end of the estuary has had to offer of late along with an adult Mediterranean Gull. On Tuesday and up to eight Sandwich Tern. A quick look off Passage House on this evening's high tide drew a blank with regard the Gull-billed Tern (it was still present until 14.30 at least) but a single Black-tailed Godwit. And four Common Sandpiper. The Two Bird Theory.

There's no F in Larid: News and Notes
http://nofinlarid.blogspot.com/p/news-and-notes.html
If it could be any rougher or less professional than the home-page then this will probably be it! But it's taking me so long to complete the main posts the more current stuff will sit gathering dust without trying this. 1/4/2015 Hayle estuary. Mass clear-out of Lesser Black-backed Gulls L.f. graellsii. Since 30/3 (possibly the 100s coasting S.W. past Pendeen Watch yesterday). Only birds of note- long-staying 2nd cal.year michahellis. However, although the bird looked good structurally for atlantis.

There's no F in Larid
http://nofinlarid.blogspot.com/2015/03/we-go-then-i-will-be-trying-to-keep.html
Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Here we go then! I will be trying to keep most of this current, but as I don't expect too much day-to-day excitement in Cornwall the bulk of this will be gull-related based on "highlights" from days of old- starting with an over-view of the last 3 months gulling on the Hayle Estuary, Cornwall. I might even get proficient enough to create other pages or photo galleries according to my tame nerd (daughter! Hayle Estuary gulls, 23/1/15- 20/3/15. Common Gull L.canus- max flock 45.

There's no F in Larid: Smithsonianus
http://nofinlarid.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-following-i-now-realise-is-shortly.html
Sunday, 29 March 2015. The "following" I now realise is shortly going to be the preceeding, so forgive the schoolboy error and remember when I say " see below" it will eventually mean "see above"! American Herring Gull L.smithsonianus. Upper tail coverts and single generation upper-wing coverts. 2nd w smithsonianus (lower mid.) Jericho farm .20/3/2015. Is of some use; 1st w. birds should still have uniformly patterned upper/under wing and tail coverts, being all retained juvenile ff, so no "breaks" o...

Charmouth Birding: April 2016
http://charmouthbirding.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
A photographic record of birds in and around Charmouth, Dorset, UK. Friday, 29 April 2016. It proved too good to miss so I drove down to near Musbury this afternoon. What a beauty the bird was, feeding energetically in the grass alongside a pond and lit up by brilliant sunshine. Surprisingly insconspicuous at distance and initially keeping low to the grass . Here's a short video of the Hoopoe feeding in the soft ground near one of the ponds. Another brilliant local bird for April. Monday, 25 April 2016.

Teign Birds: August 2015
http://teignbirds.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 August 2015. This morning began with a short seawatch from Teignmouth from 06:45-08:00 which yielded a Balearic Shearwater. All heading north. Next I tried my luck at Newton Abbot Racecourse where a vocal Green Sandpiper. Was seen in flight briefly before dropping into a ditch. Moving on to Flow Point, a fresh juvenile Little Stint. Was roosting with the Dunlin. Flock; other waders included 12 Ringed Plovers. And 3 Common Sandpipers. Of the autumn there showed well and even sang a few phrases.

There's no F in Larid: Hudsonian Godwit artwork
http://nofinlarid.blogspot.com/2015/05/hudsonian-godwit-artwork.html
Friday, 15 May 2015. This is just a brief, temporary and (hopefully) commercial link to encourage folks to visit my other blog- "Last Resort Bird Art". The "sketch" shown is the first piece I've come close to finishing of the Godwit so far, but I hope to produce "free-er" colour work in oil of the bird in flight shortly. I will post a brief link if and when this occurs! Hudsonian and Black-tailed Godwits,. Detail of (unfinished) pencil and chalk original. 19 October 2015 at 11:15. Last Resort Bird Art.
