Two Scissors: the Baby-Makin' edition. This blog is our attempt to chronicle our lesbian baby-makin' journey. From thinking about the bun, to putting the bun in the oven, to having a bun in the oven, to delivering the bun, and, finally, to living with the bun, we aim to cover it all. Should be fun. Fun, bun, fun! January 21, 2011. Am obsessing big time today, for some reason. I think I am getting antsy because if it wasn't for that gd shot, we could be testing by now. The period to end all periods. Janua...

Fun, bun, fun! December 16, 2010. Feeling a whole lotta nothing so far. But it's still early. I paid $2000 and all I got was this lousy camera-phone photo. Blergh. But here's the * wonderful*. How to Really Freak Me Out. April 22, 2011 at 3:46 pm ( Baby on the Brain. About how hard it is, despite all those Hollywood stars and media people saying otherwise, to get pregnant after 35…makes me want to quit before I even get started. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. March 26, 2011 at 3:20 pm ( Randomness. From Little Shop of Horrors going through my head all day, though. Incidentally, did you know drilling holes into ceramic causes an unholy screeching sound? More water…” and before you know it, drowned, dead plant. Here’s to keeping all the plants alive for a while, and oxygenating and cleaning the air in my house without having to turn on my air filters. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. 2 moms & 1 boy: The Joys of Organization
http://2momsand1boy.blogspot.com/2012/03/joys-of-organization.html
2 moms and 1 boy. Friday, March 16, 2012. The Joys of Organization. In my first post I briefly mentioned that I have a slight case of OCD. Well, let me explain. Growing up, my house was a disaster zone. Disgusting, unorganized, cluttered.and etc! My mother constantly lost things like her shoes, purse, and keys. It made me NUTS! Now I know I may sound crazy because Jack (and if we're so lucky, our future children) will definitely test my limits. I fully understand this. C'mon, just delete them. I enjo...

Anti-Social Behavior | Mochi & Mooncakes

March 22, 2011 at 11:02 pm ( Baby on the Brain. I’m not a social person by nature. I like to stay home, I don’t like to talk on the phone, I rarely go to new places by myself. Have I always been this way? I don’t remember. What was I like when I was single? Anyway, to add to the sad, today I read this blog. And at rehearsal tonight we were talking about traveling in 2012, to 2 conferences. What if we have a child – are we going to be able to travel? Will we want to travel? Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Nothing to See Here…. March 20, 2011 at 10:53 pm ( Healthy? When my health insurance stopped, I stopped taking my basal body temperature in the mornings, figuring I didn’t really need to be tracking my ovulation that closely. No insurance, no kid. At least for the time being. But I have been more “in tune” with my body and noticing little things, here and there, changes that I figure I used to just ignore. Choose the small, medium, or large cherry-topped cupcake! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. I say a lot o...

Once Again, We’re Moving in a Forwardly Manner (Forwardly. HAH! July 20, 2011 at 4:57 pm ( Baby on the Brain. I’m beginning to feel like I’m really running out of time. Clock ticking? But should I tell my choir director about our plans? Some people in my choir already know (have I mentioned before that 80% of my friends are in this group? So keeping it under wraps is going to be rather hard. Do I have any sort of obligation to tell my director, given how this might impact my commitment? I say a lot of as...

2 moms & 1 boy: March 2012
http://2momsand1boy.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
2 moms and 1 boy. Friday, March 30, 2012. 375 weeks of pregnancy. We found out we were pregnant April 30th last year after using about 8 pregnancy tests. Yes 8, you can never be too sure. Our blood test confirmed we were pregnant on May 3rd and I was given the expected due date of January 7, 2012. And so the adventure begins! Her reaction was priceless and plays over in head almost daily. What I would give to have one more day with her. It is our MOST FAVORITE place in the world. We scheduled a gende...
