Friday, December 26, 2008. These are some of my favorite quotes. This one's gonna be pretty long cuz I'll continue to put new quotes as I find them, but here's the first batch:. We need to stop trying to figure out God, and instead just draw close to him.". Ken Martin (my dad). More today, Lord, than yesterday. More tomorrow than today.". Martin Luther's commentary on Galatians 2:11. Timothy George: "A Theology for the Church" p. 225. Timothy George: "A Theology for the Church" p. 225. Jesus gives the wo...

Red's Reflections: February 2009
http://redsreflections.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2009. Sweet Mother of Troy. You know, people have come to me before and said that I was a fairly intelligent guy. (HA! Funny). But no one has ever accused me of being smart, unless there's a three letter word attached to the end. :) . Anyway, as I was looking through my blog, I found one that I had never published. It was much too good to pass up. . It was about midway through the beginning of the summer, and she asked me, "Is it hot down there? Now, having this awareness of the atro...

Red's Reflections: Early Morning Sky
http://redsreflections.blogspot.com/2009/04/early-morning-sky.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. There was no golden sunshine in my early morning sky,. No soft rays of light to begin to illuminate my day. The clouds of insecurity filled up the great bye and bye,. Thus causing my vast dismay. Oh to know the true feelings coming from your heart,. These feelings of rapture sure to set me free. In those feelings would my love find its start,. Kindled by a fire that is yet to be. To take your velvet hand and place it in mine,. Instantly removing me from among the crowd. Rocking ...

Red's Reflections: BACK IN BLACK!!!!
http://redsreflections.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-in-black.html
Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Ok, so maybe today's color choice isn't quite Noir (more so blue and brown), but I am (finally) back at SWBTS. It's a pretty exciting time. Especially considering that the day has gotten off to a crazy start. My schedule for the day is pretty packed. Lunch with old college pastor from 11-1 (stoked about that one). And a paper due by Midnight. Well, we'll see how it goes. Like Matthew used to say, "You gotta be flexible.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fun Times in Maui.

Red's Reflections: August 2008
http://redsreflections.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Looking For Sparks: Lessons from a "Modern Day Drifter" - Lesson 2a. Have you ever known a lone-wolf Christian? I'm sure you have. Now here's an even more pertinent question, have you ever known an effective. I’m going to say that you have not. And if you have, please, introduce this person to me. I truly want to meet them. Why do I, with a great degree of certainty, say that you have never met an effective. Primarily: His inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word. Therefore, our ...

Red's Reflections: June 2008
http://redsreflections.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 19, 2008. The Throws of Battle (Part 1). Face front, bow! Face each other, bow! The body bends at the waste, rigid and strait. The eyes never leave their opponent. They tell him nothing. No fear, no worry, no pain, no doubt, nothing is in them. There is no emotion, not even fatigue in them. They are as empty as the sea. And then, you stop. Your enviornment floods around you as if you were pulled by the collar back into time and a realm not of violence, but of learniong and sanctuary. There...
