Wicker World: New Traditions
http://wicker7.blogspot.com/2010/12/new-traditions.html
Sunday, December 26, 2010. Earlier in the week, we went caroling with another family in their neighborhood. (wouldn't want OUR neighbors to hear us! We rode in an open trailer behind his truck and had a good time trying to come up with replacement words for "dashing thru the snow in a one horse open sleigh" with the Georgia kind of Christmas, where there's no snow, no sleigh, no horse, etc. We had a good chuckle about the cancellation! Today we had church in the family room, but slept in first!

Wicker World: October 2010

Monday, October 18, 2010. Demolition is therapeutic.but messy! Joe finally had a few days off in a row, so some house projects are beginning to occur. The border on the kitchen walls is gone. The ugly wallpaper in 2 bathrooms is GONE! He is patching a lot of places where the drywall paper came off with the wall paper. There were at least 2 layers of paper on the walls. Some of the rooms have paint between or over the wall paper, too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Penny For Your Thoughts.

http://wicker7.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 11, 2010. Tomorrow is Karoline's 9th birthday! And strawberry shortcake. Considering she is our salad and veggie lover, it is a different combination. I guess I will be doing a lot of cooking between breakfast and dinner. Good thing we have the day off from school! That is the tradition in our school. More rooms are painted. It is beginning to look more OUR house. At least the ugly 80's wallpaper is gone! We have family coming through next week on their way to Florida (YEA!

Wicker World: July 2010
http://wicker7.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 31, 2010. Well, we cleared paths enough to have an impromptu gathering in our new home. While everything is not placed, and there are still boxes sitting around the perimeter of several rooms, I think everyone had a good time. We enjoyed having the pool for those who wanted to swim. I introduced them to Skyline Chili Coneys, and Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts. YUM! It was a good night! Tuesday, July 27, 2010. We have an accepted contract on our Kentucky house! Praise God with us! So far, we...

Thursday, June 2, 2011. Yes, I know it's been a long time since the last post! It's not that we've been so bored and there is nothing to post, but rather, we've been too busy to post. So what has been happening? Work, school, church, sports, house projects, sweating. Lots of sweating! It has been hot here since March! That is something different for us. The kids have been swimming in our pool since the end of March! If you are in our area, feel free to see if you can drop by for a swim! After a disappoin...

Wicker World: Summer Happenings
http://wicker7.blogspot.com/2011/08/summer-happenings.html
Sunday, August 7, 2011. I could have spent hours doing that! The kids weren't impressed. Another day was spent on a guided Swamp Tour. What fun! The guides entice the alligators with marshmallows, then when they come closer to the boat, they hold out a stick with a hot dog on the end to get the alligators to come up out of the water. First time was a little shocking! The week ended with the team bringing home the 2nd place trophy! We were able to visit Dad and Mom, and several others on our quick trip.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Well, we have a contract on our KY house, and the closing is set for next week! As many of you know, closing dates change, but we are going to travel to KY in anticipation of the original closing date. It will be such a blessing and relief to have this finished! God has been gracious in providing for our needs in the process of finding a GA house, moving, and paying 2 mortgages, but we'll be happy to just have one mortgage again! It is still stifling hot and humid! The boys deci...

Wednesday, September 22, 2010. There is a new camera in the house, so bear with me while we learn how to use it. Here are 2 pictures, for now. I haven't figured out how to put captions between the pictures. I think if you click on the picture, you can zoom in or out.I think! Monday, September 20, 2010. After many, many months,(12 1/2 to be exact) the Kentucky house is SOLD! The closing happened this evening in KY while we were sitting at Thomas' baseball game in Georgia! Monday, September 13, 2010. http://wicker7.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 10, 2011. Before and after photos! My parents came down last week so my dad could help out in the kitchen. No, not cooking, but creating a work space to make my kitchen an easier place in which to work. The small "L" shaped counter has been transformed to a "U" shaped area with an attached table on the back of the cabinets. Now, we have seating area for 9 on three sides of a table! We can even add 2 more chairs on the end, if needed! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Penny For Your Thoughts.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. A post on the blog! We have been too busy to blog. School, church, small group, youth group, basketball, baseball, jobs, etc. Who has time? The recap of events since the start of 2012. Brenda had a hysterectomy the beginning of January. Yes February. It was only chilly the first weekend tournament, then it was pleasant.and now, hot. We are getting out moneys worth from the purchase of a sun canopy! Although she had already been acting like one for quite a while!
