About The Artist

Hello, I'm Martha Tsihlas and my studio is located in Austin, Texas. I have been a quilter for 18 years but my love for fabrics and sewing started long before that. Preparation

If you have any additional questions please contact me. Do not pin or baste the quilt layers. Borders should be flat. Clip any loose threads from quilt top. The less bulk the less interference in the quilting. Iron well and place on a hanger (If hand delivered). Cut off selvage from backing fabric. When piecing backing, press the seams open. A 1/4 inch seam is good. Selvage seams create bulk and may cause backing to pucker. Clip any loose threads from backing. Iron well and place on a hanger.
