2mm North East Area Group. Blog for the North East Area Group of the 2mm Scale Association. Friday, 1 November 2013. At least some of you must have thought "Whatever happened to that N10 he was building? Well after a good deal of practice (and I mean a lot of practice! In fact brand new at £55.00 the Neo CN is ridiculously low priced for what it is. Anyway, enough of that. I attach a couple of pictures of the paint job so far. All the time I was a youthful train spotter! Just to be cruel I thought I'd in...

2mm North East Area Group. Blog for the North East Area Group of the 2mm Scale Association. Sunday, 5 July 2015. Well, that's a bit rich when I didn't even publish. A notice of the meeting! And other matters meant I never got round to it. Saturday the 4th July. Was the date at our usual church hall venue. We were one month later than normal because of the aforementioned holiday. This time was an all day session when nine of our group put together one of the new 2mm Scale Association. Some of those who to...

I'll put you all out of your misery in a week or two if nobody has got it! Here's the result; the completed and lightly weathered 69109. I acknowledge assistance from Tim Shackleton when he visits the N. The 2mm Scale Ass...

2mm North East Area Group. Blog for the North East Area Group of the 2mm Scale Association. Saturday, 5 April 2014. NEAG Update 5th April. There was a good turnout of members wanting to take advantage of the all day session this time and as can be seen by the first few pictures they all had plenty of space in which to work. In total here were 14 of the group who were putting together a wagon chassis (some managed the body too! Fourteen of those present were working on construction of a wagon. I made good...

2mm scale modelling: September 2006
http://gramross2mm.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 17, 2006. Making trees (method 1). I want something like the central trees here - a bit straggly and shapeless compared to the tree on the right. This photo was taken at Shipston-on-Stour in July 2000. The only pictures I have of Shipston in the 1930's are black and white - a colour picture is so much better for work like this. The basic structure is made from strands of copper wire twisted together. Sea moss will be attached to give the impression of finer branches. But I want a summer...

2mm scale modelling: Making my own hedge
http://gramross2mm.blogspot.com/2006/08/making-my-own-hedge.html
Monday, August 21, 2006. Making my own hedge. That shop-bought hedging looks good, but I won't have enough for the length needed and I'm not sure I can get any more so I'm trying to make something similar for myself. Here's how I'm doing it:. Start with Graham Avis textured mat and Continental Models "seamoss". Cut the mat into thin strips and the seamoss into small branches. Lay the branches in a hedge-type shape. Soak the strips in dilute PVA glue and lay them over the branches. Making my own hedge.

2mm North East Area Group: Another Project
http://neag.2mm.org.uk/2014/02/another-project.html
2mm North East Area Group. Blog for the North East Area Group of the 2mm Scale Association. Wednesday, 5 February 2014. This is one of those occasions when I'm glad I don't make a great deal of progress. Some time ago I bought myself a 2mm Scale Association. Concerning the different methods of achieving a good result (well everyone has their own way of doing things don't they? I chipped in with something like "I'll blog you the pictures I took as I worked through the construction of mine.". My plan is to...
