We are told that we should avoid talking whenever possible when we are in a retreat. If we talk, we lose mindfulness. However, a meditation instructor and a Dhamma friend of mine interpret the phrase in a different way. According to him, Noble Silence doesn’t mean “shut up”. Instead, it means “no mental chattering”. 追求花的燦爛，願如平凡雛菊，欣然綻放。期盼樹的挺立，面對日月風雨，坦然自在。跑醫院的日子（三）- -等候治療. 對於患癌，我選擇以開放的心態面對，不打算隱瞞，癌症就癌症咯，沒什麼丟臉的。回到公司，我還帶笑的和上司談病假的安排。消息很快傳遍整個部門，同事問起，我也坦然回應，還讓同事觸摸頸項腫瘤。但別以為我勇者無懼，當夜闌人靜躺在床上，越想越怕，感覺死神一步步靠近。許多事情想做還沒做，最後悔為了省錢買房子，捨不得旅行，如今可能再沒機會走出國外看世界了……. 繼續上班一兩週才開始休假。病假開始前一天，同事安排了茶點慰問鼓勵，但此時此刻我已無心工作，打電話向上司要求提早一天休假，結果茶會在主角缺席的情況下，照樣舉行了……. 在家左等右等，還是等不到腫瘤科的電話，只好親自到醫院詢問。一問之下，才發現我的病歷根本還沒送到腫瘤科，沒力啊！ 2005年7月21日，終於見到了胖嘟嘟的主治醫生Dr Ibrahim。知悉我8月1 日才掃描骨骼，他叫我別再等，恐病情有變，推廌我先到坐落吉隆坡市區的馬來西亞癌症協會進行。跑醫院的日子（二）- -證實患癌. 跑醫院的日子（一）- -摸到腫瘤. 從小身體健康，很...
