Adventures of a Super Mom: My Classroom
http://hardworkingteachingmomma.blogspot.com/2013/08/my-classroom.html
Thursday, August 29, 2013. Below is my front door. This year I have a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" theme. It is all about sweets. My writing bulletin board. They told us at the last minute that it was all about anchor charts and that is what they want up in our rooms. I wasn't about to give this board up though. I made writing process posters which are towards the stop. Then I got really cute punctuation posters - can't remember but I did get them of TPT. I read up on Whole Brain Teaching this sum...

Adventures of a Super Mom: I Can't Believe It's August & Currently!!
http://hardworkingteachingmomma.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-cant-believe-its-august-currently.html
Thursday, August 1, 2013. I Can't Believe It's August and Currently! Is it August 1st, really? I can't believe that we will all be back to school in less than a month. My husband goes back on the 14th, I go back on the 21st, and the girls go back on the 26th. Say it isn't so! It is time to link up with Farley. School starts in 25 days! August always flies by so fast. How can I slow it down? You can see I am a procrastinator as I sit here and blog. :). Posted by Elissa Isham. Rockin and Lovin Learnin.

Southern Sweetie in Second: Classroom Decorating and Whole Brain Teaching

Monday, July 2, 2012. Classroom Decorating and Whole Brain Teaching. Soo Its been a week since I've posted anything and I am feeling like a major slacker! But the truth is, I have been working in my classroom and doing a lot of research on Whole Brain Teaching strategies, and by research, I mean watching youtube videos of Whole Brain Power teachers! I saw my first Whole Brain Teaching video when Amanda at Teaching Maddeness. The Video on Amanda's blog is by far my favorite! I love it soooo much! This is ...

No Dull Moments: February 2013
http://nodullmomentshere.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Never cute, rarely creative, but always sincere]. Saturday, February 23, 2013. The truth is, I often use and learn from things other teachers post on the internet, so I hope maybe this time I can give a resource to someone else who is desperately googling "hyperbole" and "hyperbole lesson" and "hyperbole activity.". Pro tip- don't use the sentence, "My sister is pretty." Many 5th graders find their siblings rather stinky.). A couple of favorite hearts:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

No Dull Moments: School's Out and I Survived
http://nodullmomentshere.blogspot.com/2013/06/schools-out-and-i-survived.html
Never cute, rarely creative, but always sincere]. Monday, June 3, 2013. School's Out and I Survived. May 23rd was the last day of school for students here, and teachers were finished on the 28th. At this point, I've been up north with my family for a few days and still can't believe that my first year is over. It's an incredibly weird feeling. This kid (and his 30 lovely classmates, too). That. Need any extra training or practice to do well. June 5, 2013 at 7:03 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

No Dull Moments: I don't know about you...
http://nodullmomentshere.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-dont-know-about-you.html
Never cute, rarely creative, but always sincere]. Sunday, August 11, 2013. I don't know about you. But I'm NOT feeling 22, and I couldn't be more glad. T-Swift obviously had a much different experience in her 22nd year than I did. While she spent year #22 dressing up like a hipster, keeping herself next to you, and, of course, dancing. If you are a first-year teacher, fear not. A year can make a really big difference. August 21, 2013 at 3:08 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a special educatio...

Tween Teaching: About Me
http://tweenteaching.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
I teach 6th grade science in a small town outside of Richmond, VA. I returned to teaching last year after many years away from the classroom. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Samford University in Birmingham, VA in 2004. After graduation, I taught 4th grade for one year and then spent 18 months living in Morocco and China. When I'm not teaching, I'm spending my days taking care of my 1 year old daughter Blakely and spending time with my husband. October 20, 2012 at 7:13 PM. October 21, 2012 at 6:09 PM.

Tween Teaching: July 2012

Friday, July 27, 2012. Parent Contact Log and Exit Slip Sheets. If you're any thing like me, keeping up with parent contacts can be one of the most tedious aspects of teaching. Part of my problem is major lack of organization. But it's also really hard when you teach 100 kids. Hopefully, this sheet will help tremendously in the upcoming school year. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. I also picked up a few sheets of scrapbook paper for the background and then printed out my labels on my printer. It's so therapeut...
