Old School Gaming: February 2015
http://oldschoolg4m1ng.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 28 February 2015. Iron Snakes: Squad Lakodeme Banner Complete. The banner has the Greek symbol Lambda on it, which stands for Lakodeme. It ties in nicely with the round shields I have been using to kit-bash my Storm Eagle and Contemptor Dreadnought. They also have Lambda on them, which stands for Lacedaemon (Sparta). I'm sure you can see the relationship there. The banner itself is quite spartan in design (! So that it doesn't draw attention from the shields I spent. See you across the table,.

Cascadian Grimdark: DreadTober 4: Better Late than Never
http://cascadiangrimdark.blogspot.com/2016/10/dreadtober-4-better-late-than-never.html
In the Grim Darkness of the Pacific Northwest, There Is Only Rain. Saturday, October 29, 2016. DreadTober 4: Better Late than Never. I slapped some paint on this guy last week for the Pocket GT when I realized that I was 5 Points over if I took my MM/HF Dread, and I didn't have a MM/SB Dread painted for my SW. Just an AoBR Dread, so I'm still counting it even tho the assembly was done before DreadTober, since the assembly is pretty much trivial on those. Another big thanks to Joe. Your Mechanicum stuff w...

Cascadian Grimdark: December 2015
http://cascadiangrimdark.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html
In the Grim Darkness of the Pacific Northwest, There Is Only Rain. Friday, December 25, 2015. Y'all have a Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, and a happy Friday for those who don't! Friday, December 4, 2015. I dropped out of the Escalation League at the store, because November just got away from me on a number of levels (including blogging :P), and the way it was organized, players who were ahead had no incentive to accept challenges from players below them, meaning it ended up really static. Today, GW...

Old School Gaming: Painting Dinosaur Terrain Markers
http://oldschoolg4m1ng.blogspot.com/2015/07/painting-dinosaur-terrain-markers.html
Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Painting Dinosaur Terrain Markers. About three years ago I picked up some Velociraptors from the Tamiya model range, because I thought they looked like fun. They featured in my article on regaining your "Hobby Mojo". As a little side project that I tinker with whenever I need to do something different. Well, during my last holiday I finished them off with the help of my daughter, so I thought I would share the experience; it was pure awesome-sauce. The eyes were small). I also ...

Old School Gaming: January 2015
http://oldschoolg4m1ng.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 28 January 2015. Game Review: Xia - Legends of a Drift System. You start the game by choosing a Level 1 space ship. The ships are lovably dorky, reminding me a lot of the shuttles in the Sci-Fi comedy Red Dwarf (I am this. Close to pursuing a custom 3D printed Star Bug for the purposes of playing this game. Seriously! Lovable, but dorky. The paint job on these prototypes does not. Match the ones in the box. My ship of choice, the Easy Tiger. Full leather interior (slightly stained). Easy Tiger...

A lonely kitbasher's trade. Saturday, 14 January 2017. Lonely Guide: making capes quickly out of tin. A fellow G wargamer asked how I made capes and cloth out of tin, and I thought it'd be a good time to put up a tutorial on the subject, just to have on the blog in case. You're going to need a bit of tin first, and an old pair of scissors to cut it with- be careful what you choose, you'll need something that both paint and your glue can stick to. Some commercial tins are coated in. odd. Right, now I've t...

I'm alone with a dream: November 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Sunday, 27 November 2016. Hobby update: My own legion of the damned. Let's get this out of the way quick- I LOVE the Prospero box kit! MKIII must be my favorite sort of power armour, and all the other cool bitz you get-! 300 NZD was a stretch, but I know I won't be needing to buy any more plastic crack for a great long while. So what will I be doing with the set? Oh, you know. I won't be assembling them as per the box! Hee hee, aren't I mean. Also melta weapons deep striking i...

I'm alone with a dream: The two-year dream: looking back at some of my older posts
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-two-year-dream-looking-back-at-some.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Saturday, 17 December 2016. The two-year dream: looking back at some of my older posts. Today's post will be a bit of a self-glorifying mess, I'm sorry. We go back and pick out some of the more notable posts on the blog to have another look at. Two years, 100 posts and 20,000 views and. My first ever post. With no expectation of audience, stuff like a rather odd deathwatch conversion. I was so proud of back then, and the day I learned to embed videos and spammed it for one day.

I'm alone with a dream: October 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Sunday, 23 October 2016. Hobby update: back to the admech. in a minute. Got a lot on the altar at the moment that I'm slowly chewing through, a thousand nice little projects that are so numerous they get hardly any attention; Throne, what a terrible habit to get into! Coupled with the dilemma of real life and work, but I'm not here to complain to you-! I'm getting straight back into my skitarii! In the process. It'll still want tidying up with greenstuff afterwards, though.
