Hiking to End Cystic Fibrosis. Monday, June 24, 2013. Hike training has been steady, but not exciting enough to blog about. yet. The rest of the week will include four hour-long walks- leading up to our first team hike on Saturday. We'll be hiking Mount Pleasant,. A moderately-easy 6-mile hike near Amherst, VA. This should mark the official end of our training honeymoon period. In related news, I think I have a solution to my pack "problem." I had been leaning towards the super-lightweight REI Flash 1.

I’ve been a little behind on my blogging… we went on vacation the morning after our last practice hike, and I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trying to forget 15 miles of Torry Ridge. Ever had a bad dream that you're driving in the mountains with someone you love—and you’re trying to get somewhere by a certain time-. But every turn you take is the wrong. Parking lot instead of mapping it to the center.

Hiking For Cystic Fibrosis. Saturday, August 17, 2013. Here are a few photos from our 4th conditioing hike for the extreme hike for CF! It was an amazing day! The weather was perfect, cool and in the 60s all day, but when your out there hiking you want it cool. Lots of rocks on this trail but several beautiful views! We had a group mascot today, a beautiful foxhound by the name of Cash! Loved having him with us and hope to see him again! Great team of folks hiking today and everyone did an awesome job!
