A year of beer. 436 Tempest’s Honey, Jamaican Me Ginger. Asymp; Leave a comment. On the face of it, this is a clever name – it gets in the two main added ingredients in a sentence. Then you wonder what “making my ginger” is meant to mean. Is someone force-dying your hair? Oh well, it’s a decent effort. I think ginger and honey might work better with a different beer style, perhaps something lighter, but this was not for me. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A year of beer. 435 Harbour Brewing Porter No. 6. Asymp; Leave a comment. I feel like I may have had this before, but can’t seem to find it in my notes or on the blog. It’s certainly one of my favoured style – dark and boozy. Made in Cornwall, it’s produced by the rather laid back bunch at the Harbour Brewery, who, at least according to the website. One thing to note is that despite the 6.8% strength, it’s not very boozy taste wise. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. I'm a beer...

Breakfast things – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/category/breakfast-things
About this blog and me. Chickpea omelettes with curry mayo. After spending one week in the Arctic, meaning in a huge playground made of snow, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about going back to the south of Sweden. But with the first warm rays of sun on my face and Easter knocking on the door, I’m getting excited about Spring. Plus, I’m feeling grateful for the absence…. American pancakes with carrot bacon. This is my favourite weekend breakfast! Follow Blog via Email. Blog at WordPress.com.
Soup things – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/category/soup-things
About this blog and me. I often know exactly what I want to eat. A few days ago, I had a real craving for a root vegetable soup with jerusalem artichokes. Mini apple semla – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/2016/02/10/mini-apple-semla
About this blog and me. February 10, 2016. May 22, 2016. Yesterday was an important day in Sweden, “fettisdagen”. On this day, almost everyone eats buns filled with an almond paste and cream, called “semla”. Actually, people also eat them for like 2 months before that date and I propose that we can just continue eating them. They simply are delicious! And I couldn’t resist to extend the deliciousness a bit more by adding apple. This recipe is for ca. 20 mini apple semla:. 1 1/2 dl sugar. 1 tsp lemon juice.
Aquafaba – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/aquafaba
About this blog and me. I realised that many of my recipes will feature aquafaba as egg replacer. To not repeat myself in every recipe, I want to shortly explain what it is and why one would want to use it. You can find the whole history. So far, the chemical composition is unknown, but an analysis is being published soon. It probably contains a mixture of starches and proteins from the beans. Chickpea juice has made vegan baking more fun! Frozen aquafaba from white beans. If you start from dried beans, ...

I’m a huge breakfast fan, I can’t get enough of it. I struggle to get my head around people who find it a chore to eat. Lately, I’ve been trying out a few different places that serve breakfast/brunch and thought I’d share a couple of the good ones on my blog. The Breakfast Club. Southwark St, SE1 1RQ. Bill’s. 42 Kingsway, Holborn, WC2B 6EY. It went down a treat and succeeded to satisfy my pastry craving. The Slug and Lettuce. Can anyone recommend anywhere else that does good breakfast/brunch? Yes, I̵...

About this blog and me. February 24, 2016. May 22, 2016. To prepare pulled jackfruit for 4 people:. 2 cans of jackfruit. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 1 tsp smoked paprika. 1/2-1 tsp chili powder. 1/2 clove of garlic, finely grated. Vegetable broth or a mixture of broth and a dark beer. 1 dl barbecue sauce. Some additional notes: In my next try, I want to use some nutritional yeast in the marinade and balsamic vinegar for deglasing before adding the broth. Let me know how it turns out if you try it =). New York Cheese Cake – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/2016/03/01/new-york-cheese-cake
About this blog and me. New York Cheese Cake. March 1, 2016. May 22, 2016. I admit that developing this recipe was maybe just an excuse for eating a lot of cheese cake… Can’t say my friends complained! I think it’s pretty impressive for a vegan CHEESE cake (not me, the power of vegan dairy substitutes) and you won’t taste any difference compared to dairy ones, I promise. For one cake ( = 24cm):. 450g vegan cream cheese (I used oatly). 100g creme fraiche (oatly again). Lemon juice after taste. Enter your ...
Veggie burgers – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/2016/02/07/veggie-burgers
About this blog and me. February 7, 2016. February 10, 2016. If you are having a more ambitious day than I had today and you are not having burgers in a fast food restaurant (but hey, they have vegan burgers in a fast food restaurant now! This is how you make your own veggie burgers. Besides being delicious they are also a great way for dealing with left overs. I used pieces of root veg that were left in the fridge from making soup. What I used for 4 people:. 1/2 stick of celery. 1 large clove of garlic.
Dinner things – green things
https://greenthingsblog.com/category/dinner-things
About this blog and me. Occasionally now I can feel the sunshine warming my skin, I can hear birds twittering and my balcony features a number of plants, most of them chosen for the gourmet tastes of a bumble bee. Some blossoms are even fighting through despite the frosty nights. So it’s probably time to use up all these winter things lying around…. Chickpea omelettes with curry mayo. You’ve probably noticed the pulled pork hype in the last couple of years. I actually have never tried it but it...Cannell...

365 days of affirmation
365 days of affirmation. Monday, 13 June 2016. The final public blog. Well my year of affirmation is up; I did it… sort of. Looking back on my first blog I can see that I was motivated to consistently self-reflect so I could usher in change. The bigger the better! What is coming into form is nothing like I hoped and dreamed … and yet the inner shift feels empowered and satisfying, if not a little scary. This blog completes in the Initiation Temple for members of YBL. Saturday, 28 May 2016. I felt the gro...
