I talk to myself. A lot. Occasionally, I share. Break time is over…. 8230;let the hard work begin! The read through of Wishful Thinking is complete. This go-round is much better than the last (when I couldn’t even read through the whole way). This means I can begin editing with more of a shape rather than an unassuming blob of a novel. Photo courtesy of Free Digital Photos. Almost…but not quite. May Day is right around the corner. Tackling the reading backlog…. Currently reading: The Fountainhead. By Ayn...

I talk to myself. A lot. Occasionally, I share. I write things. Things about people and places and other stuff that couldn't possibly exist in our world. At least, not yet anyway. I write about things keeping me up at night. About things that distract me from the every day. And I'm easily distracted. You'll learn that about me. Probably other things too. November blusters in…. Not seriously, of course. Well, maybe to parts south for a long weekend. But I promise to come back. Ending my post with another ...

Distracted by summer… | Kelly R Morgan
https://kellyrmorgan.wordpress.com/2010/10/11/distracted-by-summer
I talk to myself. A lot. Occasionally, I share. Distracted by summer…. I had no idea I’d be distracted by summer. And yet, that’s exactly what happened. I squeaked out one post right around when summer began and then nothing. But I’ve been taking the time to think. To plot. To read more in areas I’m not usually interested in. To research. And I went on vacation. A much needed one. I write things. Things about people and places and other stuff that couldn't possibly exist in our world. At least, n...You a...

>Oh my, I think I’ve got a novel… | Kelly R Morgan
https://kellyrmorgan.wordpress.com/2010/05/24/oh-my-i-think-ive-got-a-novel
I talk to myself. A lot. Occasionally, I share. Oh my, I think I’ve got a novel…. What I’m loving is getting all the details in the right place, something I wasn’t so great at the first pass through. I know it’s because I didn’t have all the details to begin with (you’d think these characters would clue me in or what not) but it’s still fun making things click – even for the author! So, yeay, Chapter One is done and I’ll be foisting it on my unsuspecting victims. Photo of ruins by Free Stock Photos.

>High Maintenance | Kelly R Morgan
https://kellyrmorgan.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/high-maintenance
I talk to myself. A lot. Occasionally, I share. I hate nail polish. I love the way nail polish smells, fresh from the bottle. I love watching the lively color glide from the brush to a bisque nail, empty and ready for some pizazz. Some oomph. Everything looks wonderful for the first 6 hours. Maybe, if I’ve got a great top coat, my nails might last a day or so. It’s all over when the first chip happens. Then they look like exhibit A. Book: The House Next Door | Somewhere I Have Never Travelled
https://nevertravelled.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/book-the-house-next-door
Somewhere I Have Never Travelled. Books, Gardening, Art, Life. Past Years’ Books. Book: The House Next Door. October 23, 2011. I’ve seen this book listed on many “best horror” or “best haunted house” booklists — it was kind of difficult to track down (I had to have it brought up from deep storage at the Oakland Library — that in itself made me love this book already! Deep storage at the library! I want to go down there! So, so worth it! You may recall I read an Anne Rivers Siddons book. Could it be that ...

Book: Haunted, by James Herbert | Somewhere I Have Never Travelled
https://nevertravelled.wordpress.com/2008/02/05/book-haunted-by-james-herbert
Somewhere I Have Never Travelled. Books, Gardening, Art, Life. Past Years’ Books. Book: Haunted, by James Herbert. February 5, 2008. Welllllll… this one was pretty scary. I was suprised. After reading two of his other books,. I kind of didn’t expect to be scared since the ‘scary’ scenes in the other books didn’t register much of a chill. This book moved along at a pretty slow pace, started picking up about 3/4 of the way through, and then raced to the end. Overall, the book’s not that great. No...Obvious...
