These two places, next door to one another are up there amongst our dream stops of our east coast tour. We stayed in Agnes Water for a couple of days, which is a bit of a detour off the beaten track, with you having to double back on yourself to leave, but it was well worth it! Jellyfish on the loose. The Daintree River is home to many large saltwater crocodiles, as well as other deadly creatures, such as Pythons. We spent three nights staying in Kowloon City in a plush hotel called, the Regal Oriental. It was easy to get around on the MTR rail transport and with a short trip on the star ferry, we made our way over to Hong Kong Island. (The skyline is pictured below.). Hong Kong Island skyline.

Welcome to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and World Heritage Site. Our reef trip took us to the amazing Michaelmas Cay, a small sand island about 60m in length and home to 7000 birds and not one of us got crapped on! Here we spent around 3 and a half hours snorkelling on the reef. I(Ed) also managed to do my first ever SCUBA dive which was unbelievable.
