The Swishers: Aunt Kylie's Place
http://swisherlife.blogspot.com/2014/03/aunt-kylies-place.html
During the first part of our spring break we were able to spend a night at Aunt Kylie's house and visit her work! She has a pond outside her house that we tried fishing in. Keaton didn't see the value in sitting still for so long, and he preferred to throw rocks into the lake which didn't help our cause much. :). We didn't actually catch anything. Visiting Aunt Kylie's desk! And her lab desk too. Peering through a microscope at fruit flies. Thanks, Aunt Kylie, for letting us come visit!

The Swishers: Keaton is 3!
http://swisherlife.blogspot.com/2014/03/keaton-is-3.html
Several months before his birthday, Keaton spotted this dump truck balloon in the store and decided he was going to have a "dump truck birthday." So that's what we did! He was so happy the day I came home with the balloon for him! The construction tape around the edges is leftover streamers that we didn't hang. The backside had a slope down in the corner. Some fun decor.we had a mini Tonka theme going on with the cups and the card. :). Happy 3rd Birthday, Keaton! We love you, Bud! Jeremy Jamie and Noah.

Keaton fell into the corner of a wall while running and ended up with 8 stitches. This was his second visit to the ER during the month! The first visit was an allergic reaction to walnuts that were in a piece of chocolate. At least we know now! The kids were invited to a birthday party at a gymnastics place, and they had a blast! Kiana on the rope swing. Keaton in the foam squares pit. Kiana racing a friend on a trampoline runway. Chuck E. Cheese's. Kiana's working on the tow truck. The two birthday girls.

Kiana was able to attend a Disney princess birthday party, so she dressed up as Snow White and put on her jewelry. Here's her two princess pictures. We think they are just adorable and so sweet. :). Showing me her ring. Keaton and I were able to visit Daddy at work one day while Kiana was at preschool. Keaton loves Daddy's trumpet! Keaton even wanted Mommy to blow in the trumpet. I managed to get it to sound like an elephant. :). Kiana's in the pink t-shirt. I had a great time! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Some silly faces from my two silly kiddos! Keaton enjoying a smoothie. Excited to receive a bag of Grammy's granola in the mail! Some of you may know we decided to adopt last year and may be wondering why I haven't posted much about it. We have a separate blog for now that journals our adoption process. We will be posting to our adoption blog as long as we are in the process, and will revert all posts back to our regular family blog after the process is complete. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Swishers: June 2013

My parents brought us their old loft bed (used to be in my sister and my room when we were kids)! Kevin set it up in Keaton's room, and we've been using it as a fun place to play with stuffed animals and read books. We have moved the shelf behind them to the opposite wall so we can now lean up against it with pillows. It's a fun place, and the kids love to climb up and down the ladder. Eventually, Keaton will sleep in it, but for now he's still doing great in the crib! Kiana with Miss Ally. Keaton.he...

A Trip to Phoenix. We took a quick weekend trip to Phoenix to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma (my mom's parents). It was a fast but very fun trip! The kids did very well on the planes, too. It was Keaton's first time flying! Lugging all our stuff through the airport. We brought the single stroller which made it so much easier! Keaton rode and it carried most of our carry on luggage as well as we maneuvered to our 4 different flights. Kiana even got a ride! We definitely drew plenty of looks. Porch swing ...

The Swishers: May 2013
http://swisherlife.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
We had a fun whirlwind visit from my sister's family over Memorial weekend. K and K always get so excited when they get to see their cousins! Kiana with Hallie (8 mo.) and Landon (2). We went on a walk down to the pond/clubhouse. And drove up to the "school bus" park. Don't mind the "big kid" at the top! Kevin loves to play wrestle with kids. Here he is with 4 of them! Cute all 4 guys are wearing blue checkered patterns. :). Aunt Kristin and Hallie. A little break for the parents.TV's on! Lots of playing...
