January 4, 2013. Having arrived in Thailand feeling on edge from the journey and still poorly I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the final four days of our holiday but Phuket has surprisingly been just what the doctor ordered – despite me having a letter for insurance purposes saying exactly the contrary. Our first glimpse of Thailand was as expected. Busy roads, lots of mopeds (many carrying three people), lots of seven elevens and lots of tiny road side huts and eateries. On Saturday 8th December we are heading off on the trip of a lifetime. I can’t believe we’ve actually booked it! After months of talking, planning and general indecision (I’m good at that), Christian, Jess (aged 7 and 4 months) and I are going to Australia – a place I’ve dreamt of visiting since I was a little girl. Xmas and Boxing Day – with old friends! December 26, 2012. Sometimes life is full of bizarre coincidences and today – Boxing Day – was one of those.
