Friday, March 27, 2009. Here are some pictures of the final flood push. The helicopter you see is that coast guard that came to rescue the neighbors to the northwest, and the boat is the coast guard coming to rescue us. Thursday morning, 4:00- water is coming in the windows and over the dike in some spots. We put up a water dike to try to control the water. Friday, February 13, 2009. Today is a very sad day. Heaven received someone who will be a great loss from earth! God has a plan, and it may never be understood why Wade Westin was taken, but his memory will never be forgotten. As always, a lesson learned from the Great "Gentleman Wade," Live life to the fullest, and love like you won't be here tomorrow! The kids start T-ball and safety town class this summer, which is offered to incoming kindergartners to learn about strangers, bike safety, street sign safety etc. I can't believe the kids finished preschool and will head to kindergarten this fall. Dan and I attend a Management Christmas Party for his work, we also attend an employee party he throws for his employees. The Management one is always at the Holiday Inn with a dinner and drinks. We have a fun time and enjoy the company of some great people. It is a chance for Dan and I to get dressed up too.

The kids last day of school was a warm spring day, and it was complete with bringing your bikes to school and a visit from the ice cream truck. The kids' preschool is at our church, at the entrance of Lindenwood Park. The preschool class rode their bikes around the big fountain and enjoyed the beautiful day. Goodbye Preschool, Hello Kindergarten :).
