M came to watch with her dad, and then the three of us (M, her dad, and I) walked along Church Street together to get back to the car. Oh the looks we received! Funny to be read as straight during a festival celebrating queerness. And sad that we so easily make assumptions about who people are – still, even when we are part of a marginalized group. A trip to the farm. May 14, 2015. On Tuesday, my toddler and I went to the local farm. It was a grey day, and it was the perfect thing to pass the time post nap. We looked at the chickens, the pigs, saw goats (and their kids, which she thought was a hilarious name for their babies), watched the horses eat their dinner and listened to the sheep bleat. 8220;The cows have udders!
