She's in the House: I'm Okay, You're Defriended
http://shesinthehouse.blogspot.com/2010/04/im-okay-youre-defriended.html
Friday, April 23, 2010. I'm Okay, You're Defriended. If not, please go to the “She’s in the House” fan page and de-fan yourself because I only want to talk to my besties. You know who you are. And who you aren’t. Today I was able to spend some time with Michael in the morning at such lovely establishments as the Bark and Garden Center in Olympia (thanks for the suggestion Kellie! And Trader Joe’s. Never enough of this sort of time. It started out with a simple question:. And they could use some grooming.

She's in the House: July 2010

Sunday, July 11, 2010. Yesterday was Kenny’s 9. Birthday. Mom and Dad were able to make it over and we had a houseful of boys and chaos and cupcakes for a few hours. Unlike my fabulous friend. Who throws parties that put professionals to shame, I am rendered useless in the bright light of an oncoming birthday. I just want my kid to have fun and then, for it to be over. Is that so wrong? Of course it is. Well anyway, it was good and it’s over. Until next month. Have I mentioned how warm it is? 8220;Wheref...

She's in the House: August 2009
http://shesinthehouse.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. This is it. The final day of summer vacation. Of course it goes without saying that we didn’t pick up our middle school schedules until this morning. Anything else would have required a level of forethought and organization to which I only aspire*. Chief Jo Middle School. Sierra’s all business as we walk up but Michael, well, he’s a bit apprehensive. What if I don’t have all the right supplies on the first day? What if I don’t have time to get to my classes? No, not really. And S...

She's in the House: February 2010
http://shesinthehouse.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. Saying Yes To Something Better. You’ll all be really impressed to hear that I ironed clothes for all five males in this household BEFORE the weekend. In a shocking display of forethoughtedness (thanks, I made it up myself) I got it all done ahead of time. And we even arrived at church early enough for soft seats but there’s always a but, right? But…we don’t fit in those side pews. None of these kids wants to sit that. Close to each other. According to Elder Robert D. Hales.

She's in the House: This Is It
http://shesinthehouse.blogspot.com/2010/04/this-is-it.html
Thursday, April 15, 2010. I don’t know why this is so hard. I’ve been typing and back spacing for half an hour now. But still nothing sounds right. Do you know what tomorrow is? It’s the anniversary of my first post. The birthday of ‘She’s in the House’. It took some serious stick-to-it-iveness but I’ve managed to hit this dubious milestone with a gold star for Perfect Attendance. What started out as short journal entries each day turned into longer and longer visits with you. No sir, you do not. It̵...

She's in the House: November 2009

Monday, November 30, 2009. You Deserve a Medal or Something. On the way over Michael Jr. checked the weather app on his phone and said it was foggy in Richland. That seemed odd since it was so sunny even as we approached the Columbia at Vantage. Then it appeared. What a sight! You are such a die-hard. I love it. To have read through those last four paragraphs, you deserve a medal or something. Sunday, November 29, 2009. CBS Cares. Way Too Much. Oh Dear Internet, how I love you. I love that I can pluc...

She's in the House: Three Completely Unrelated Paragraphs
http://shesinthehouse.blogspot.com/2010/04/three-completely-unrelated-paragraphs.html
Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Three Completely Unrelated Paragraphs. I’m not sure why Michael Jr. watched 2012 tonight; he already has a number of concerns regarding Death and The End of the World. Before watching it he came to me and asked a few questions about Death, if the world might really end in 2012, what happens next, is it likely to be painful, etc. I reminded him of all the things he already knows but ultimately, all I could tell him was what Jesus had to say on the subject:. Good heavens; so do I!

She's in the House: May 2010

Tuesday, May 18, 2010. This One's Mostly for You . . . That Is If You're Josh. You know how I feel about succulents. A little obsessed, right? Well, one aspect of that obsession is the whole concept of propagating echeveria. If a person could really pull off a leaf and produce another plant, I’m interested. I decided to try it out a few weeks ago and pulled off leaves from several varieties I’ve got sitting on the front porch. And look what I found today! I may actually be able to pull this off! As Josh ...
