The ME.S.S. Family. Wednesday, January 5, 2011. It's just after school and all the kids are getting homework out and I'm fixing them a snack. As I am getting bagels ready I see E stirring a mug with milk in it and also notice that she has added COFFEE to it as well. Mom: "what are you drinking? E: "I need a cup of coffee so I can stay awake for dance practice.". Mom: "Oh, really? When did she get so mature? What happened to just chocolate milk? Has my little girl grown up? She is too funny.

The ME.S.S. Family. Friday, January 8, 2010. Who Said She Could Be This Tall? Tuesday, January 5, 2010. We had a great two weeks of celebrations, feasts, and road trips. We started the holiday off with a drive to Los Gatos to see the Vasona park lights. My parents had never gone before so I loaded the car up with coffee and sweet bread to nosh on as we waited in traffic for I don't even know how long. We were enjoying ourselves with a movie in the car and our goodies. Christmas morning was yummy!

Thursday, August 13, 2009. The Best Birthday Gift. But she's always happy anyway and loves visitors. So I went to see her on my birthday last month. We sat on the love seat in her living room and she was just looking at me with a kind of blank look in her eye. Staring. Then, suddenly, an awareness came across her face. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. I saw her again this morning. She wore the same sweats, the same hat, the same ear buds. But she looked different. This morning her back was straighter! Her little shuffle was more the gait of a runner! Her steps were more confident. I smiled and gave her a silent cheer as I drove past, looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow.
