COPO 9561 gave us the L-72 cast iron 427 Camaro. COPO 9560 gave us the ZL-1 all aluminum 427 Camaro. COPO 9737 gave us the Sports Car Conversion. The 1969 COPO Camaro was an understated hi-performance car. It's plain appearance was very deceptive to the performance that it delivered. Here are some of the features:. Special order 427 cubic inch engine. Air Breathing hood with built in sealed plenum chamber and throttle operated solenoid valve. Plus there was a lot more to it than just what's listed here.

In 1968, Yenko Chevrolet modified a new SS 396 L-78 Camaro with its own personalized trim, and added some additional factory options to make a unique car. Here are some of the features:. 427 and Yenko Emblems. Custom Yenko fiberglass hood with dual snorkel inlets. Removal of the factory 396 engine and re-installation of a 427 cubic inch short block, again re-using the L-78 cylinder heads, aluminum intake manifold and Holley carb.
