Service Learning In Cambodia: June 2007
http://slc-bblc.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Service Learning In Cambodia. Friday, June 22, 2007. The Art of Road Builidng. The main objective for our CIP in Cambodia was to help in building part of the road leading into the village. We have to widen the path by removing the vegetation and trees (huge trees), transfer the soil, lay the rocks and finally cover the rocks with red soil. It was very hard work, especially with the hot sun. Here are some pictures of the tough guys and gals at work! Clearing the tree stump that is blocking part of the road.

Service Learning In Cambodia: Reflections from 3E and Mr. Noah Low
http://slc-bblc.blogspot.com/2007/06/reflections-from-3e-and-mr-noah-low.html
Service Learning In Cambodia. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Reflections from 3E and Mr. Noah Low. The CIP field trip started off with the fund raising event. Being form teacher of 3E, it gave me the opportunity to share with the class some of the less fortunate kids in Cambodia and the sufferings that they have to go through. The pupils were able to feel the hardship the Cambodian kids were going through and they contributed generously to the cause. By Mr Noah Low. Posted by Immersion Teacher.

Service Learning In Cambodia:
http://slc-bblc.blogspot.com/2007/06/blog-post.html
Service Learning In Cambodia. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. BY Ms Thng Su Ying. Service Learning In Cambodia: Toul Seng Museum and Cheoung Ek Memorial
http://slc-bblc.blogspot.com/2007/06/toul-seng-museum-and-cheoung-ek.html
Service Learning In Cambodia. Friday, June 8, 2007. Toul Seng Museum and Cheoung Ek Memorial. During the reign of Pol Pot, millions of cambodians were killed. Many were tortured in S21 (now known as Toul Seng Museum) and later killed and buried in mass grave. Cheoung Ek Memorial was once a "killing field". This torture camp was built to be a school, but Pol Pot used it as prison to lock up anyone who opposed his ideas and to torture these people. Posted by Immersion Teacher. The Art of Road Builidng.
