The Inner Bean: When It Rains... It Pours
http://theinnerbean.blogspot.com/2009/04/when-it-rains-it-pours.html
19 April, 2009. When It Rains. It Pours. Luck of summer rain. Originally uploaded by lepiaf.geo. You know how the old saying goes. when it rains, it pours, well this weekend was a virtual downpour of awesome things. I made a lot of jokes over the weekend about taking over the world piece by piece, but as the ideas kept paying off and the achievements weighing in in my corner, I decided to polish my Hatori Hanzo sword and just Kill Bill. Later that evening I was talking to my good friend, James Melzer.

The Inner Bean: April 2009
http://theinnerbean.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
30 April, 2009. It's Thursday again, and though I am swamped down with so many things, I wanted to take a quick moment to offer my thankfulness. Since I've been so busy, I'm going to keep it short this week, and only pay homage to one awesome inspiration. I found Helen's blog through the Blood Red Pencil. Sorry it's so short this week. It's late and I've got a lot of edits to get done. I'm just about to put this manuscript to bed, so wish me luck! 29 April, 2009. Cup of a flower. 27 April, 2009. More poe...

shannoncwalsh: Duotrope
http://shannoncwalsh.blogspot.com/2009/07/duotrope.html
A blog about reading, writing, and submitting poetry. Charlotte Smith is definitely in the public domain, but I can't find the full text of Beachy Head. Anywhere (except in google books but there it is a bit garbled). I thought about typing it in for my illustrious readers, but it spans 35 pages of The Poems of Charlotte Smith. So I'm scrapping the idea for now. Maybe I'll choose one of her much shorter Elegaic Sonnets. Erica politely told me that there is no way my spreadsheet could do what Duotrope.

A blog about reading, writing, and submitting poetry. Something incredible has happened — when I say "incredible," I mean "unbelievable." James Connatser, current editor of Soundings East. And arguably my biggest fan, has somehow managed to make me the featured poet of their next issue. Why is this unbelievable? Because I am so new to being published that it seems far beyond my level as a poet. I know I'm just being self-conscious. I know I should just be grateful to James for his faith in me (I real...
