林宗賢是一位創意豐沛的藝術家,在求學時就以雕塑作品入選全國美展,爾後從事繪本創作，曾多次榮獲台灣多項兒童文學獎項的肯定並出版多部繪本作品, 其作品曾被香港兒童圖書館選為牆面裝飾。 林宗賢近年將創作的重心投注於於傳統題材的再創新，以新的藝術形式和語言，創作出更貼近當代人思想的作品，他所創作的金魚、牡丹系列在近年的個展都獲得媒體熱烈的採訪與收藏家的喜愛, 他所創作的彩瓷作品, 色彩鮮明,呈現他樂觀的人生態度。 MFA, Academy of Arts University, San Francisco, USA. 1994 San Francisco, USA個展. 2013 Angel Art Gallery, Taipei台北. 2014 Angel Art Gallery, Taipei台北.
