Thursday, August 6, 2015. We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida. I plan to blog about it. I think. The reality is, we all know how that goes ;). Speaking of reality, I got a hard dose of it today. Reality does not understand that parents need a vacation from vacation! We were all up (with no alarms set! After gymnastics, Ev and I headed to pick them up. And ate donuts too. Because what's one more pound when I've already gained 10 in 10 days. In the toilet, praise God! I mean, good for her.

Saturday, June 28, 2014. Moms need breaks. Working moms, stay at home moms, we all need breaks. Dads too, but this is about us moms :). We all need time away to laugh, to vent, to share stories. Time away to pee in peace. Time away to get pampered and to have sore muscles deeply massaged after a 5:30am body pump class. #hurtssogood. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Swimming and Movie Poolside Party. Wow, I can't believe how fast Reese's birthday {party} snuck up on me! We literally picked the date two weeks before, even handed out invitations to her school friends two days before party! How terrible is that? She, of course, requested a pool party again! Monday, September 29, 2014. It was another beautiful fall weekend in Kansas! Cru had football, but we had to miss his game due to soccer. His soccer league is in Wichita, and his coach did his best to request games later in the day because of Cru and his buddy, Manny's, football schedule, but this weekend they conflicted. Saturday, December 20, 2014. This year really wasn't as bad. We have one day a week where we don't have any after-school activities. It was overcast, but decent temperature. Chet was out of town, so I jumped on the opportunity ;) Plus this was my one and only idea, so I just went with it. Kids were actually really excited when I told them what they were going to do.
