Everybody goes surfin, surfin Lacanau. La Loire à Vėlo →. 738 km to Nantes. We left Tim and Romy in Lacanau-Océan and started biking North. Now, 738km later we’ve reached Nantes and it is time to leave the Vélodysée 1 behind. Except for some bad roads and even worse signs at times, it was a great route overall. Definite highlights of the trip were the “forêt dunaire” (forest covered dunes that we rode through for several days), seeing Claire Underwood (no kidding! Everybody goes surfin, surfin Lacanau.

4 Feet and 8 Paws. What's the pack up to? After a fair amount of snowfall that never melted due to the cold temps, I began to wonder and ask questions like."how much weight can a roof hold? I didn't really want to ask that question and I'm not sure I wanted to know the answer. These pictures don't do justice to the 20 inches of snow piled on the house. This past weekend Todd got up there to shovel off the edges so ice dams wouldn't build up. The fence is 4 ft. high, so is the snow pile. Ice Caves Part 3.
