Sunday, December 8, 2013. Power, Pancakes, and Perspective. Yesterday I was angry. I was angrier than I have been in quite some time. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Summer is a time when I actually can enjoy my lunches. I don't have to race to get my students to the lunch room on time, then cross my fingers that a microwave is open to heat up leftovers. I don't even have to pretend that eating a turkey sandwich AGAIN is the best thing ever. I can even…wait for it…. Go to the bathroom when I want! I know. I'm amazed too. My favorite go to lunch for the summer has always been this. So I bought these babies. Say hello to my newest addiction!

Sunday, January 5, 2014. Here We Go Again! Blame it on Disney Magic. Blame it on my friends who are posting pictures of Disney this week and two weeks ago. Blame it on childhood memories. Whatever is to blame, it happened. The Bush Family is going back to Disney! We officially booked it today! This time it will be right before Christmas! Thursday, March 13, 2014. As we are nearing the end of Spring Break, I've come to a pretty big realization. I was never meant to be a stay at home mom. I've spent so many hours trying to defend myself, to myself. I've actually thought that I should feel more guilty about loving my job. It took me years (apparently about five and half) to truly realize that this doesn't mean I don't love my daughter the way I should. Sunday, August 18, 2013. Tomorrow I officially start back to work and K starts her new school. This summer was by far the best one I've had since becoming a teacher and it all boiled down to priorities. This summer I was able to get our new house unpacked (mostly.there is still that pesky garage). I was also able to spend some time decorating and updating. There is still so much of that to do! Saturday, November 30, 2013. Sparkle 2013 - Day 2. I brought home my class pets for the Thanksgiving break so they wouldn't freeze in my classroom.
