Monday, February 4, 2013. Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. This year was just CRAZINESS. I'm actually fast forwarding by just a week, but during Halloween we had actually already moved out of our house in Delaware and were staying at a hotel at Andrews AFB, MD waiting for Kyle and Heather's wedding - next blog we'll get to all of the move stuff and Rosie's awesome birthday.oh, and that pesky hurricane. Till next year, baby elephant! Saturday, February 2, 2013. DC Air Force Memorial. We're so lu...

Team VanderPants: October 2012

Monday, October 29, 2012. The BIG 30, Father's Day and Family in Germany. Well I'm 30. Yay? I mean, YAY! Especially since family came out to Germany during both my birthday and Father's Day. Doesn't get much better than that. Rosie was loving all the attention Annie and our cousin Zach, gave her. We started our day with a lovely 10 mile run for my birthday. I really missed running post surgery, and it's nice to feel like I'm actually. Pay no attention to the fact that all you can read is, "BDAY ASS".

Team VanderPants: A trip to West Point.
http://team-vanderpants.blogspot.com/2013/02/a-trip-to-west-point.html
Saturday, February 2, 2013. A trip to West Point. The group picture below was an effort to get a great photo of Rachel and I with the kids. They were SO uncooperative! Caleb has mounds of energy and endless curiosity. Again, no cooperation for the group photos! West Point was beautiful, though. Great time of year to visit. We're so lucky to find such wonderful people each time we move. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A trip to West Point. A day with the Vensko Family. Life According to the Ortizs.

Team VanderPants: Annie Turns 16
http://team-vanderpants.blogspot.com/2013/01/annie-turns-16.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. The state of PA had better watch out - Annie has a license and is on the move. We surprised Annie with the ticket to her new freedom as she arrived home from school. Grandpa was there to celebrate, too! We went with her on her first test drive. Where else should we go but the McDonalds drive through! Then it was onto the actual party. Rosie met up with her Great Aunts. GREAT AUNTS. None of them look old enough for that title. Spring chickens, these three. Grandpa Svoboda is 96.

Team VanderPants: January 2011

Monday, January 24, 2011. The New Year can Suck It. Yeah, that’s what I said. The New Year can Suck It. Okay, well that’s how Mike and I were both feeling after Christmas. The bah-humbug spirit got the best of us. But you all know that’s really not in either of our personalities, so Mike and I have re-grouped and come back to our chipper selves…resolutions and all. Of December. He logged more than 150 miles for the month because he also included a half marathon with his training buddy. Yowzaa!

Team VanderPants: November 2012

Friday, November 30, 2012. France, Switzerland and Lichtenstein - Yeah, even Lichtenstein! This trip was a whirlwind (and took place late June, eep! Rosie was 7 months old, not the best car rider ever and the Swiss Alps are miles of endless scenic roads! Nevertheless, we weren't going to miss the opportunity and left Ramstein knowing that we'd see Switzerland, but on Rosie's terms. :). Here's our cutie trying to pass as a French baby. Everyone smiled at her as they passed by us in the park. No, no, no!

Team VanderPants: December 2010

Thursday, December 16, 2010. The Gift of Charity. Early the other morning I awoke to my Blackberry LED light flashing like crazy. I had what seemed like a million emails from Mike. As I opened each email I realized. It was my Christmas present! Get ready. This blog entry is a little long winded and somewhat "soapbox" like. Give it a chance. :). The first of these donations was to Women for Women International. This is Justine. She is my age and has 3 children. Check out this CBS article. And Half the Sky.

Team VanderPants: December 2012
http://team-vanderpants.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 28, 2012. Hey Michael, they all look like you! We've been researching our ancestry a lot lately. I think having Rosie has made us want to know more. We'd hate for her to ask that inevitable "what am I" kind of question and have nothing but blank stares for her. We've always known Mike is Dutch. His last name gives it away! Side note: This is another giant blog post. I can't help myself. Too many fun pics to filter. Imagine how many I left out! 332 ft of climbing, 533 steps. Just like in ...
