http://dcbeaman.blogspot.com/2015/02/one-hundred-years-ago.html
Monday, February 9, 2015. One Hundred Years Ago. Chester and Daisy Kurtz were married 100 years ago, on this date (Feb. 9th) in 1915. They were both born in 1893 and married in Iowa. Grandma and Grandpa were really wonderful. I would imagine my brothers and sister have their own fond memories of these very special people. The History of Rusk County Families (published in 1983) had this to say:. February 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). PW FULL RSS FEED. View my complete profile.

Connie's Blog: April 2014
http://dcbeaman.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2014. A surprise snowfall last night. The robin's are all fluffed up and waiting it out. Wind chill is 18 degrees. Our minor league baseball team had their game called last evening because the snow was coming down so hard they could not see to play. The good thing about snow in April is that it is pretty but also disappears quickly. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). PW FULL RSS FEED. View my complete profile. Awesome Inc. template. Powered by Blogger.

Connie's Blog: March 2015
http://dcbeaman.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Blackie, the Squirrel. Blackie the Squirrel, resident of Dan and Connie’s front yard, went home to his maker after a courageous, yet brief, battle, with a hawk last Friday. He was born in the neighborhood and is survived by way too many siblings; and numerous cousins. Blackie enjoyed digging holes in the lawn; wrecking flowers; and destroying suet feeders. Cash memorials may be made in care of Dan and Connie’s bird feeder. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). PW FULL RSS FEED.

Connie's Blog: July 2014
http://dcbeaman.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2014. A very pleasant morning! We were motivated to play nine holes of golf this morning, so got moving, and out on the course by 8:00 am It was a perfect day - in the low 60's, no humidity and a light wind. It has been years since I have played and it was not a pretty sight but had a great time anyway. Dan is generally patient and he gets a chance to work on his game, too. We hope to make this a regular date! Friday, July 4, 2014. Happy 4th of July. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Susan Mayer's Haven: Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly on Black-eyed Susan

Pictures from my back yard. Friday, August 07, 2015. Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly on Black-eyed Susan. Birthday time again. Carol, the boss, came up and whispered low enough that the other people couldn't hear, "Happy 63rd! Guess she's still too young to realize that at this age:. 1) you really don't care how old you are. Just as long as you are feeling good, can do what you want, and people think you are younger than you actually are, you are good to go. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Connie's Blog: A Fishy Project
http://dcbeaman.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-fishy-project.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. Our little lake town has an active Parks and Recreation Board. The project this year is to have volunteers paint fish, for display throughout the town, during the summer months. They will auction the fish, in August, to raise funds for other projects. I volunteered to paint one of the fish. It is 42" long and 18" high and made of steel that was galvanized. We have seen six of the other fish, that volunteers completed; they are all different and really neat. May 28, 2015 at 2:26 PM.
