OUR GOAL: $500,000 FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS IN 5 YEARS! It all started in 2011 with the crazy idea to put on a small community event at the UVA Research Park and raise a few hundred bucks for charity. Since then the. 4 the Wounded 5k. Has grown to become one of the top 5 largest foot races in the region, and raised over $380,600 for Wounded Warrior Project.
