Uniform and Costs – 4th Falmouth Scouts – Cornwall

When a youngster wants to join, we suggest they come along for a few weeks to see if they enjoy it, there is no charge for this period, “subs” are only payable when a member formally joins “or is invested”. At 4th Falmouth the leaders and Executive committee work really hard (for free – we’re all volunteers! To keep costs low and fun high. What does this pay for? On top of this we charge on an individual basis for events such as camps and days out. We believe Scouting offers amazing value for money!

Scouting offers fun and friendship, challenge and everyday adventure to 400,000 girls and boys across the UK. We have a positive impact on young people, our 100,000 adult volunteers and the communities in which we live. The 4th Falmouth Scout Group was first formed sometime between 1910 and 1915 but closed during WWII. The group re-opened in 1950 and in 2010 we celebrated our own Diamond Jubilee – 60 years of ‘continuous’ Scouting. We’ve been connected to the Parish Church in Falmouth. To post a comment.

At 4th Falmouth we’re incredibly lucky to have our own campsite. Located on the outskirts of Falmouth it gives us the space to camp whenever we want and to meet during the summer in the great outdoors. The site is available to rent, either for a day or overnight.
