We made it about 200 miles down Baja to an agricultural valley called San Quintin. Our hotel is lovely: tile floors, fountain in the large foyer, and we are about the only ones here! There must be over a hundred empty rooms. The beach too is empty for miles, except for us, and the hundreds of sand dollars dotting it. A day at the besh.

Boy was I happy to see them! We did a trip out to the island today. No dolphins, or whales, but the sea lion colony on the volcanic rock of the island is reason enough for a trip out there. The weather was windy, and the swells large. 5 hours later, i still feel as if I'm on a boat. March 23, 2011 at 5:29 PM.
