A country club inside the Santaluz community after months of searching and it measured up to what we were looking for. Plus it was pretty close to home. 6 miles away. Why didn't we think to visit sooner? Now, I just hope I get to enjoy a few bites on our big night. Chicken satay with peanut sauce}. Coconut shrimp with sweet chili sauce}.

I had a free Southwest trip to use up before expiration and EHK accumulates quite a few SW free trips due to work travels so we decided on kind of a whim to visit Chicago a few weeks ago. We booked a lovely room overlooking the Magnificent Mile, at the Intercontinental Chicago which proved to be a very central location via Priceline. Friday, January 2, 2009. Carmine's Italian Restaurant and Bar South Pasadena. My husband and I eat here for birthdays, comfort food for a job well-done or just any old day. There is another location of this restaurant in Arcadia but we like the South Pasadena location better because it is open just about all the time (the other one is closed on certain days and hours) and the ambiance is more comfy and interesting. Their dessert menu is full of beautiful choices- there is a picture of each confection....

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Miso Glazed Pink Salmon. Miso glazed pink salmon, stir fried sugar snap peas and baked sweet potato}. We finally got around to making some of MK's salmon (remember Lotsa Salmon. Post from a few days ago? 1/4 cup saikyo shiro miso paste. 2 tblsp brown sugar. 1 tblsp sesame oil.
