Rorik and Sherris Excellent Adventure. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Sherri, Ryder and I took our last long hike of the season out to Francois Matthes Point. The hike is on the Walhalla Plateau, going down an old road which is closed and overgrown. To hike to the point is a level six miles one way through the Ponderosa Pines and changing Aspens. Rorik and Sherris Excellent Adventure. Sunday, August 19, 2012. Cape Final and Transept. We haven't ventured far to hike, so in the last two weeks we repeated hikes from last year. Of course the views are still spectacular. Here we are at Cape Final. Sherri doing a tree pose, I'm glad she has good balance. A nice spot for lunch with a view. Rorik and Sherris Excellent Adventure. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Before leaving Organ Pipe, I hiked Mount Ajo one more time with Sardius, Jim and Steve a visitor. The view from the top is spectacular. The climb up is tough, but not nearly as hard as going down over the scree. Fortunately, we only had a couple of minor slips and falls. Many cacti were blooming.
