As I return from my 'morning' dog walk at 2.45pm, I spy my next-door neighbour, bearing a red woggle (please just google woggle), trying to coax her two little children out of the door. It takes half-an-hour to go anywhere,' she says with a tight smile. 'We're just off swimming at Camberwell.'. I exclaim. 'Camberwell! That's a long way to go for a swim.'. 1 – 10. 11 – 20. 21 – 30. 31 – 40. 41 – 50. You either turn 50 or you don’t. I was turning 49 when it started. An unease I couldn’t seem to shake. It was when this feeling sharpened driving in traffic, in lanes that seemed too narrow, and in which collision seemed likely that I made the connection. But I made it. I didn’t start the year with a set list. I had some notions to begin and followed breadcrumb trails of ideas into adventures of many kinds. There was only incidental flinging from high places.

A little about me…. One Year, 50 Things. Asymp; Leave a comment. Yet again, I have ventured outside the realm of chicken and beef for something new – shrimp! Again, I was joined by a friend for this one, which was fun. He’s cooked a pretty fantastic shrimp dish in the past (shrimp wrapped in bacon with barbeque seasoning! So it was nice to have his expertise on this one. This recipe was a recipe from one of his cookbooks that he adapted to make Paleo. 2 peeled and sliced zucchinis. 1 cup pre-cooked shrimp.
