Political Whirlwind: October 2009
http://politicalwhirlwind.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 19, 2009. I came across a blog on the "pinkdome" website and the blog discusses the new spin on same-sex marriage. Texas has taken pretty recently. Texas has already voted on the issue, and as stated in the blog, seventy five percent of voters adopted the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman. However now Judge Tena Callahan has ruled that couples may divorce within the state and that the law adopted by Texas violates the constitution. Posted by K.Reading. The smal...

Political Whirlwind: December 2009
http://politicalwhirlwind.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 11, 2009. Eeny, meeny, miny, mo. Response to: Don't Mess With Texas. Ironically the URL to this blog is called "Don't Mess With Texas" and apparently in Texas we should finish that statement by adding "Or else we'll sentence you to death by lethal injection! How is it that one man can, in cold blood, murder another man and just be sentenced to life in prison (which yes is punishment)? How in any body's mind can that make any sense? All I can hope is that there is some huge piece of the p...

Political Whirlwind: Prisoners are Priority?
http://politicalwhirlwind.blogspot.com/2009/11/prisoners-are-priority.html
Monday, November 2, 2009. According to health officials prisoners in Texas prisons will not be getting H1N1. Vaccines ahead of law abiding citizens. They were reported as saying that many prisoners will be vaccinated only if they are considered to be high risk for getting the swine flu, and pregnant women in order to protect their unborn baby. My first reaction was: WELL DUH! Just consider it part of your punishment. Paying in order to keep these people fed, clothed, and warm at night is astronomical.

RJ'S PAC: Transparency takes a grass-roots effort!
http://rjspac.blogspot.com/2009/11/transparency-takes-grass-roots-effort.html
Friday, November 27, 2009. Transparency takes a grass-roots effort! Begs the question, are we getting the full story here? The truth is that we aren't getting any story at all. What has happened to investigative reporting in this country? After reading this, my only questions are:. 1 Has it become proper english to begin a sentence with the word "But"? 9 out of 10 2nd graders say. absolutely not). 2 What was left out of this statement, and conveniently replaced with the symbol "-"? The first step toward ...

Monday, October 19, 2009. Can We Find Something More Important to Discuss? I must admit, after reading this story in the Capital Annex, TX GOV: GOP Candidates War Over Travel is Trivial by Vince Leibowitz. I got a slight headache. I agree with Leibowitz. On his opinion of the Republican candidates and how childish it is to argue over something as meaningless as who is spending more on travel expenses. When campaigning to be the Governor. Of this great state, I would imagine that it would be prudent to.

Mulling with Mary: stage four
http://marynewsom1733.blogspot.com/2009/10/stage-four.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The blog I chose was in Grits for Breakfast titled Rick Perry's Execution. Review Method: What Sharon Keller Says Goes. The case of Todd Willingham. Charges is one of great debate these days because of Perry's all out ignorance of a seemingly innocent. Man I liked this blog because it does address Texas' almost need for capital murder trials and the death penalty. This state has always had an "eye for an eye" type of view point and at times it isn't about the innocence. Municip...

Wednesday, September 23, 2009. As a future soldier for the US Army, I feel that the need for more troops in Afghanistan is valid. And I am glad the focus has finally been shifted from Iraq to Afghanistan. An article in the Houston Chronicle. States that the situation abroad is growing worse.
