Thursday, February 28, 2008. Five Days in Roma. As promised, a brief overview of the trip to Rome! Her husband showed us around Rome that night. After a spectacular dinner of pasta and Tuscan red wine, followed necessarily by a scoop of gelatto. The next morning, after a trip to the market, we had a picnic right in the middle of Circus Maximus. Then took a leisurely stroll across the Tiber (drinking the best capuccino of my life along the way) and up a hill overlooking Rome. Friday, February 22, 2008.

Aşai la Vii: October 2007
http://kymberinromania.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2007. This weekend I went to Brasov to stay with Neah, a Fulbrighter and a fellow Pacific Northwesterner, for an early "American birthday" celebration. Why American, you ask? Well, in Romania, it's the birthday girl (or boy) who pays for everything. And quite frankly I like the American way of doing birthdays better, and so did my fellow Americans, so I didn't complain. . It was the first time in a while that I had been outside of Bucharest, and it was perfect timing for such a trip&...

Aşai la Vii: Christmas in the Alps
http://kymberinromania.blogspot.com/2008/01/christmas-in-alps.html
Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Christmas in the Alps. I'm back after a lovely week and a half in the Austrian Alps for Christmas with my Austrian host family from 2005. It was a pretty eventful week, but entirely laid back and relaxing at the same time, which was exactly the kind of Christmas break I needed. Back to Bucharest the morning of New Year's Eve. We decided that the incredibly cheap price we paid for the ticket just wasn't worth the pain of starting your day at 2 in the morning. John J. Roberts.

Friday, February 1, 2008. Gephyrophobia: The fear of bridges and/or crossing them. I devote all my attention to the Next Big Step. To resumes and cover letters and thinking it might help to narrow it down to at least one region of the world, but not knowing where to start. 63 days of crescendoing whirlwind. Of last minutes and long goodbyes and just one more times. I think this is more a fear of time constraints, but there isn't a word for that. Posted by living wanderlustfully. Five Days in Roma. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. The great thing about this internship is how much traveling I get to do for it. Even if they are "business trips," at least they're trips. And thankfully they have a tendancy of coming up right when I think I can't handle another day in Bucharest. Posted by living wanderlustfully. Thursday, November 15, 2007. In the middle of a conversation about the wonders of Romanian conveniences, a friend asked me "what's colder than the cold water in Romania? I made it almost two months...

Wednesday, September 26, 2007. I just got back from a three-day retreat in the mountains above a small village called Bran. Me, Mihaela, Cecilia, and four other ladies who are advisors in Education USA centers around Romania met there for some training and collaborating. Our villa was on top of a mountain, and as I walked out onto my balcony to take in the breathtaking view, lo and behold, there was Dracula's castle, not more than 1000 meters away!
