Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Ride is about to begin. Time is going by so fast and soon I will start "officially" training for the Syracuse 70.3. Training start date is the first week in January. Five weeks. Holy shit. This training is not just about getting me ready for the 70.3. If I do the work, I will be fine. I WILL complete the course. I need to break bad training habits. Finding a way to get the work done. Being excited about it. The training to me is more important than the event. Can I do it?

Monday, January 07, 2013. I am only in my 2nd week of training and good GOD! I really must like getting my ass kicked. The guy next to me was making tsunami type waves and the timing was perfect. I was like a bass gasping for air when the wave hit me right in the face. Half the pool went down my gullet. Next thing I was spluttering, spurting and PISSED. Mainly because I had to start over! I wanted to grab him by the chest hair and drag him down the lane. That was after a cool-down. Is that a record?

Monday, December 31, 2012. Happy to report that I am able to run again. All the bitching I do about running, I really do miss it when it is taken away. But I am recovering. Slowly. I am not at the distance I was hoping to be at, but at least it is something. After missing our annual Christmas Eve run with friends, I got pissed and went out on Christmas morning.
