Outnumbered: 2010
http://outnumberedby3.blogspot.com/2010/01/2010.html
My life - one woman outnumbered by 3 males. Saturday, January 9, 2010. It is a new year, a new decade. I think it is time for a fresh start with the blog. A lot changes in a year and half! No longer a full time stay at home mom, I now work a few days at our local Trader Joe's. I was a fan as a shopper and working there has only increased my love for all things Trader Joe's. Outnumbered: Bring it on
http://outnumberedby3.blogspot.com/2010/01/bring-it-on.html
My life - one woman outnumbered by 3 males. Sunday, January 17, 2010. Here comes the rain.I love the rain when I don't have to leave the house. It sounds like we are really going to get hammered. I think it might be a good idea to get umbrella's for the kids and make sure I don't need to leave the house on my day off tomorrow. I really hope we get some thunder and lightening.that would make me happy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I also work part time at our local Trader Joe's. The Boys in Colorado.

Outnumbered: Vacation?
http://outnumberedby3.blogspot.com/2008/08/vacation.html
My life - one woman outnumbered by 3 males. Saturday, August 9, 2008. We went to see my best friend in Texas. We did have a great time in spite of the fact that a few hours in my husband broke his ankle requiring surgery! I thought I had made it through the worst - I hate to fly, more honestly, I am TERRIFIED of flying and we flew while a tropical storm was moving it's way in, drove with a hurricane watch in effect and made it through without a slight bump of turbulance or anything! As far as the rest of...

a small diversion: August 2009
http://smalldiversion.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 1, 2009. Yes, I admit it. I am obsessed with squash blossoms. I don't know exactly what it is.some sort of sickness I am certain. There are so many possibilities, whether filled with cheese, deep fried and served with a simple tomato sauce, or perhaps tossed into a green salad with an herb vinaigrette. But today is the day I am using them in a centerpiece. Yes, it may be a little unconventional. But what the heck. 1 urn type container. 1 block fresh floral foam (soaked). The squash bloss...

a small diversion: given their due
http://smalldiversion.blogspot.com/2009/09/given-their-due.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. I have to admit I was feeling a little guilty after posting my last floral creation of roses and sunflowers. The arrangement in which I pulled all of those yellow petals off to reveal the chocolate brown seed pods so that the terra cotta roses would have their "day in the sun" so to speak. So when I was at the farmer's market this week, there they were, just staring at me. It's like they were saying "What did we ever do to you? Flower freshener or bleach. Taken down a notch.

a small diversion: July 2009
http://smalldiversion.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2009. The only ingredients needed to make this arrangement are as follows:. 1 "urn" type container that is on the shallow side, about 4 or 5 inches deep; 1 brick fresh floral foam (found in floral supply stores); 1 packet fresh flower food; 8-10 stems Papyrus; clippers; water. Then fit floral foam into your container using a kitchen knife if necessary, keeping the foam intact as much as possible. This will help with the integrity of the arrangement, keeping it secure. So the next time y...

a small diversion: roadsidia
http://smalldiversion.blogspot.com/2009/10/roadsidia.html
Saturday, October 17, 2009. Back when I was in school, getting my Interior Design degree, one of the semesters focused on floral arranging. I loved that class! I honestly don't know how much of the "proper mechanics" stuck with me, but one thing I remember is that you would be amazed at what you can find along the roadside to put into an arrangement. Hense,. This is not some fancy Latin terminology but just a term that my instructor coined quite frequently. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
