Our little Eliot is 16 months as of August 2nd, and we can hardly believe it! Monday, September 27, 2010. Sophie and the Sweater. Right before we came out to Tunis, my Mom was in Arlington with us for a few days watching Eliot and helping us get ready to leave the country. Among her many activities, Mom shamed us into buying a playmat. With her story - this is not just any giraffe, but "Sophie" a French giraffe from Paris who has been around since 1961. Who knew? Friday, November 26, 2010. A friend of ours took this picture, and it's such a cute pic, except Derek's head is cut off - ah well. Anyway, we had a great Thanksgiving here in Tunis with some of Derek's Arabic classmates and their families. Eliot seemed to enjoy getting his turkey on too. The day started with a touch football game. Derek's team won (Yay! Largely due to Pete, a ten year old who can really catch a football! After showers, we got ready to head back over to the Sweeney's for lunch/dinner.
