Front Row Friends: May 2015
http://frontrowfriends.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. 1 Year 4 months and 5 Days. That's how long it's been since I've written a blog post. This morning I woke up and decided it was time for the creative drought to end. Several family members are graduating this spring and I began hunting for congratulatory inspiration on Pinterest. I found some ideas, assembled my supplies and got to work. From baker's twine, stamping tiny banners, and punching out stars. It wasn't long before I'd created this. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Look I Made ...

Front Row Friends: Golden Book Banner
http://frontrowfriends.blogspot.com/2015/07/golden-book-banner.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. I mentioned the lack of 'treasures' found this spring during our annual trek to the Clovis Antique street fair, but I did find another nugget of inspiration in a booth selling little Golden Books. They had chopped up a book to create a cute banner, so I began shopping for books that had 'spring' images. I already have an Easter banner, so I decided to make one to hang on my sideboard for later in the spring. Stamping and Paper Crafting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Iridesc...

Front Row Friends: August 2015

Friday, August 14, 2015. The Puffies Have Left the Building! Several years ago, I saw a card made by Kristina Werner at kwernerdesign.com. And was obsessed with finding the supplies to make it. It included some "Puffies" stickers, which I found that summer (on a trip to Oregon) at a Michaels store. Then later on I hit the mother lode at my local Tuesday Morning. At Tuesday Morning, they were so cheap, that of course. I had to stock up. And by stock up, I mean I probably bought 15 packages of Puffies.

Front Row Friends: Sweet Stuff and Some "Contraband"
http://frontrowfriends.blogspot.com/2015/08/sweet-stuff-and-some-contraband.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. Sweet Stuff and Some "Contraband". Not to mention the fun I have creating it all! For the most part, I will stand by the Stampin' Up products - their color families are amazing, and really help coordinate the inks with the papers, which can be a challenge. There are a very few "contraband" (non SU) items that I will buy at Michael's on a coupon (tombow tape runner refills, for one), but other than that, I try to limit my paper crafting purchases to my monthly club. Front Row Friends: Vintage Bling Clipboard
http://frontrowfriends.blogspot.com/2015/07/vintage-bling-clipboard.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. This past spring, my friend Liz and I made our semi-annual trip up to Clovis for their charming street fair and antique shops, only this time we brought my mom with us. We had lots of fun, and Mom was an easy traveler to add to our group. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures, and we didn't find any 'super-amazing' treasures, but I did find some inspiration. It's always fun at the antique booths to dig through boxes of broken jewelry and buttons, and I had lots of fun doing just that.

Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Mt Vesuvius: Butcher Paper Mountain. When you're a teacher, you end up with a reputation over the years for certain things that you 'always' do in your classroom. These things often become an annual tradition because kids will ask, "When are we going to do the? Or in my case, "When are you going to make the big volcano? Out of butcher paper. Because it is an active volcano, I added some lava just for fun. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. The highlight of the day for everyone was seeing...

Front Row Friends: October 2014

Thursday, October 30, 2014. Halloween 2014: The Cat's Away. Craig seems to do a lot of traveling in the fall, partially because it's football season and the APU cougars do a lot of traveling as well. Coincidence? I think not. I don't love it when he's gone, but as they say, 'When the cat's away, the mice will play! There we decided to make Halloween treats for our students. I had been wanting to make these candy corn treats using the Pennant Punch. We used the skinny cello bags and filled them with tange...

Front Row Friends: November 2014
http://frontrowfriends.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2014. On my recent visit to LaQuinta, the to-do list included creating a few Thanksgiving cards, as well as some tags. We ended up using the new "For All Things" set to make the beauty shown below. In the spirit of full disclosure, here is the inspiration from Iguana Stamp. I felt like our card needed a little bling, so we added the gold glimmer paper and the gold cord. For the granola recipe, click HERE. Stamping and Paper Crafting. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. To Gnome You is to Love You. It's good to have pals who are stampers, so that you have access to their stamps as needed. Case in point, the sets Gnome Sweet Gnome and Gnomenclature, borrowed from Michelle. I knew that 'administrative assistants' day was approaching, and my school office manager likes Gnomes. A lot. The first card has a cute cloudy embossed background, and the words"There's no place like gnome". Labels: Stamping and Paper Crafting. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Susan B...

Friday, July 31, 2015. Loads of Love card with Watercolor Paper. Earlier this spring I needed a boy birthday card, and I didn't have one in my stash of cards. Those of you who know me, know that I enjoy working ahead of schedule, but somehow, I ended up making this card the day before the party (I guess that's better than the day OF the party, right? Thanks for stopping by! Labels: Stamping and Paper Crafting. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Stamping and Paper Crafting. Monday, July 27, 2015. This past spring, ...
