Sunday, April 23, 2006. Let me discuss the functionalities of the AIBO watchdog. We can make it like a real dog and process the input information with the restrictions of the real dog, but we can also surpass those limitations and create a 'super' watchdog. What I'm trying to say are the input sensors of the watchdog. Normal dogs have a limited range of sense for sound and vision in his environment, but a robotdog can be more sensitive than a real dog. The more detailed rules you put in the engine, the more accurately it can reacts. For example if the dog sees an intruder, then bite him. If the dog sees his owner, then laugh.
