AIBO watchdog: April 2006
http://aibowatchdog.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 23, 2006. Let me discuss the functionalities of the AIBO watchdog. We can make it like a real dog and process the input information with the restrictions of the real dog, but we can also surpass those limitations and create a 'super' watchdog. What I'm trying to say are the input sensors of the watchdog. Normal dogs have a limited range of sense for sound and vision in his environment, but a robotdog can be more sensitive than a real dog. Basic functionalities in normal human language:.

Tuesday, June 20, 2006. AIBO intelligence by Jess. The intelligence of the robotdog is determined by the rules engine of Jess. The more detailed rules you put in the engine, the more accurately it can reacts. For example if the dog sees an intruder, then bite him. If the dog sees his owner, then laugh. Translated these rules in Jess will be:. Everytime when the knowledge base contains the fact (object(name intruder) , the rule inruder-detected will be fired. Aibo will bite. ZigBee is the wireless standards-based technology which addresses the unique needs of remote monitoring, control, and sensory network applications. It enables broad-based deployment of wireless networks with low cost, low power and low-data rate solutions. Figure 1: IEEE 802.15.4 network architectures. Posted by Sherry @ 2:12 AM. AIBO watchdog: September 2006

Monday, September 11, 2006. To be able to move freely in its environment AIBO needs to know the map of the room and ability to detect obstacles. By providing the map AIBO can calculate the best path to take and handle temporal changes. Otherwise AIBO has to explore its environment first to find the most suitable path.
