Friday, August 24, 2012. Donor frame rails and trunk floor. The business of separating sheet metal by drilling out spot welds has to be one of the more rewarding aspects of this type of project. When you finally have a section apart, it's a wonderful feeling. Progress! This tool had obviously been dropped there in the factory!

When I got the rear clip from WCCC, I had expected to be able to cut the whole thing along one winding cut line, measured carefully on both the car and the used part. Then, just lots of welding the two pieces together along the cut line, and DONE!

Sunday, November 20, 2011. The car is back! Rocker panel and center hump are welded together. Lower part of floor pan and final cleanup of the welds. Are left for me to finish. After a couple of months at the body shop, the car is finally done getting the front clip spliced in! Joined together at the A pillar. The car is back!
