Tuesday, December 23, 2008. A Day at Apple Hill. Let me start by saying .I have these great memories of going up to the Santa Cruz mountains the day after Thanksgiving and chopping down the ol' Christmas Tree. So, I had these grand visions of our family hiking through the woods to chop down our Christmas tree and create those same family memories. I truly meant it because in spite of all the complications I loved the fresh air , it was beautiful and I was determined to have it be a wonderful memorable day.

Last week I came to the realization that I'd quit on my classes - probably sometime last week. Fortunately, the students quit over a month ago, and so no one has noticed. Saturday, August 11, 2012. While up in the Great North, we celebrated Magrath Days with my parents. Part of that weekend extravaganza is the tradition of 'Mutton-busting', where terrified young kids struggle to hold on to the back on an equally terrified sheep. He wipes the dirt out of his mouth just like a real Cowboy.
