Evening Star Farm: December 2012
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Words from the Barnyard. Sunday, December 30, 2012. We packed our bags, loaded up the car, and embarked on a long drive December 20 that ended around 2 am December 21 when we finally reached our destination. My sister's house. It was well worth the drive from our small Ohio farm to her home in Alabama. Two words. No. Snow. I got my wish. Christmas. With my sister. That's a lot of kids! More posts of our Alabama Christmas to come. Monday, December 17, 2012. I will get straight to the point - I. Out of me ...

Words from the Barnyard. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Today I washed the baby furniture. I washed the BABY furniture? Yes, I washed the BABY furniture. Baby Doll Furniture that is! But I won't. Kiss them that is. But that is how I spent my day off today. Cleaning doll furniture and doll houses and princess castles. And making my princess happy. Make that BOTH of my princesses happy. Evening Star Farm: March 2013
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Words from the Barnyard. Thursday, March 21, 2013. Wherefore art thou Spring? The Calendar says it is Spring. It doesn't feel like Spring. Winter is just not wanting to let go this year. This time last year, our temps were in the 80's. This morning we woke up and it was 18 degrees, but felt like 10. :(. I honestly do not know if their internal clocks know something about this weather, or maybe they are older than I thought? Someone needs to find that groundhog and make fried whistle pig out of him. Frida...

Evening Star Farm: Just stuff..
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013/10/just-stuff.html
Words from the Barnyard. Wednesday, October 23, 2013. The last few days have been a roller coaster. There's a lot I want to blog, and one topic in particular, but I feel like I'm this jumble of just stuff that I need to spill it out before I can talk about the things I want to. I've had a lot of sick in the pit of my stomach I might vomit feelings since last Thursday (not pregnant at all, it's stress) and I'm ready for that feeling to go away. For a very. very. very. Today, I woke up to find our youngest...

Evening Star Farm: September 2013
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Words from the Barnyard. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Just When I Thought I Couldn't Wow Myself. To quote a certain pop star, "Oops I did it again! Warning: These are NOT Low Carb. They are 100% death defyingly filled with sugar. Dangerous for LC'ers. I've been on this journey to a low carb lifestyle, and most days I do ok with it. I'm still learning what is and is not OK to eat. Today, I created my own lemony mouthful of death. Lemon Poppy Seed Whoopie Pies. Eat at your own risk. You totally found it.

Evening Star Farm: Cooking on a Shoe String Budget (Dinner for roughly $5)
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013/10/cooking-on-shoe-string-budget-dinner.html
Words from the Barnyard. Thursday, October 24, 2013. Cooking on a Shoe String Budget (Dinner for roughly $5). Yet that doesn't mean we can't still eat well! When I shop I'm always looking for things that can be purchased in bulk and then broke down into smaller packaging at home for the freezer (or canning which ever the case may be) to make multiple meals later. Today, I decided to put it to the test and see just for how little could I make a dinner? These little bit of ingredients add up to roughly 20 ...

Evening Star Farm: Family Night
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013/10/family-night.html
Words from the Barnyard. Friday, October 25, 2013. After a long and stressful week, we desperately needed something simple, fun, and low-key to finish out the week. The kids just needed some fun, kids will be kids moments after the roller coaster week we had. Being that it's Friday, I figured it won't hurt to let the kids stay up later than usual. So we made caramel apples together.everyone except Squeakers who crashed hard (she also had no nap today). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Evening Star Farm: November 2012
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Words from the Barnyard. Friday, November 30, 2012. Front Porch Lookin' In. I am thrilled that our tree is infront of the window this year. This is the first year in a long while we've had a space that allows for the tree infront of the window. I think it is gorgeous! Yesterday my friend Ann came over for coffee and "girl talk". We really enjoyed our visit, and so did our young sons. The play date totally wore this little gal out! I had a little help with my gift . Sent me this picture today. Check out h...

Evening Star Farm: October 2013
http://eveningstarfarms.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Words from the Barnyard. Thursday, October 31, 2013. Not carving in your traditional sense of carving, but hollowing them out and feeding the guts to the chickens and saving the seeds for planting next year. So I guess we were technically "gutting" pumpkins. We didn't carve designs into them as the kids had painted them a couple weeks ago (and it's Halloween today and I just don't like stuff hanging around once the holiday they're for is over so.). This Mille Fleur Cochin girl thoroughly loved the treat.
